Alkhidmat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Speakers at the seminar held at Alkhidmat Hospital Peshawar&nbsp;urged the government, political parties, religious leaders, media and other stakeholders to play a role in the prevention of the deadly thalassemia disease. 
The seminar was arranged at the Thalassemia Centre of Alkhidmat Hospital to mark International Thalassemia Day-May 8. The Provincial Minister for Health Syed Qasim Ali Shah was the chief guest. 
General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Abdul Qasi, provincial president of Alkhidmat Foundation Khalid Waqas, director of the hospital Dr Iqtidar Roghani and others spoke on the occasion. 
The speakers said the costly bone marrow transplant was the sole treatment introduced so far for the deadly disease of thalassemia. Therefore, they said, the only option to deal with the disease was to take maximum preventive measures. 
The speakers said several countries, including Italy, Greece, Egypt, Bangladesh and others had overcome the disease by taking preventive measures. They pointed out that these countries were on the top of the list of thalassemia-affected states some 15 to 20 years ago. 
It was informed that currently the number of Thalassemia patients in KP was around 20,000 to 25,000, which records an increase of 5000 patients every year. The speakers said during the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal government a law had been introduced to make premarital tests of both spouses compulsory. However, the law could not be properly implemented. 
They stressed the need to create awareness among the people against the deadly disease. The participants were informed that some 600 thalassemia patients were registered at the Alkhidmat Hospital, who were provided blood transfusion and other medication free of cost.

Alkhidmat Hospital marks International Thalassemia Day

A meet-up was organized at Aghosh Alkhidmat Peshawar for the Alkhidmat Ambassadors studying in different universities of Peshawar. Khalid Waqas, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was the chief guest on the occasion. Senior Manager Education and Volunteers, Waheedullah, Assistant Officer Volunteers Management Ateequllah Jan Advocate, Female Coordinator Volunteers Management, Salma Izzat and student ambassadors attended the event. 
During the event, Khalid Waqas stated that Alkhidmat student ambassadors are our supporters and actively participate in voluntary welfare activities of Alkhidmat. He added that Alkhidmat will continue to play its role in the upliftment of society. 
Additionally, the student ambassadors were briefed on the educational and residential facilities provided to orphan children at Aghosh Alkhidmat Home Peshawar.

Alkhidmat Ambassadors Unite for Humanitarian Causes

The Alkhidmat Bano Qabil Executive Committee met at the Alkhidmat KP Provincial head office in Peshawar to discuss the upcoming Alkhidmat Bano Qabil Aptitude Test. They reviewed the preparations for conducting the test for registered students. 
Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Patron Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, attended the meeting upon special invitation. He received a report detailing the preparations for the Alkhidmat Bano Qabil program and commended the efforts of the Bano Qabil team. 
During the meeting, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan emphasized the importance of youth as the nation&#39;s assets. He stressed that it&#39;s our collective responsibility to empower them for the betterment of both society and the country. He highlighted the significance of the Alkhidmat Bano Qabil program in fostering economic independence among the youth and contributing to the country&#39;s development.

Alkhidmat KP Holds Bano Qabil Executive Committee Meeting

President Alkhidmat addressed participants of Palestine Aid Packing Drive organized by Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust. 
To pack food and relief aid for Gazan families, Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust organized a Palestine Aid Packing Drive at Defence Marquee &amp; Event Place in Lahore. A large number of volunteers, social activists, philanthropists, young kids, and Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust officials took part in the packing drive. Participants showed great energy and interest in packing relief aid for displaced and oppressed Palestinian families in Gaza. President Alkhidmat Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman graced the event as the chief guest speaker. 
While addressing the event, President Alkhidmat appreciated the enthusiasm of Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust management, volunteers, and participants to pack relief aid for their Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza. Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman mentioned that Alkhidmat has delivered thousands of tons of relief aid in Gaza over the past 207 days through our international partners in Gaza.

Alkhidmat Volunteer registration camp was held on the occasion of 9th Undergraduate Medical Conference at Pak Turk School &amp; College Peshawar. 
A large number of male and female students registered themselves as volunteers with Al Khidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Alkhidmat Foundation: A Key Player in Society's Development and Betterment

Alkhidmat Foundation dispatched a sea cargo ship, laden with 20 containers of essential relief goods to the beleaguered region of Gaza. 
A staggering 400 tons of relief supplies, including rice, blankets, tents, tin packs of cooked food, family packs, kitchen sets, jerry cans and medicine have been shipped to Gaza.

Torrential Rains Ravage Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prompting Urgent Relief Efforts

&nbsp;Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan dedicated this Eid-ul-Fitr to the oppressed Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza. President Alkhidmat, Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rahman, personally arrived in Cairo to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with relocated Gazan families in Egypt. Hundreds of Gazan families and children were hosted by Alkhidmat on the occasion of Eid to spend Eid together in solidarity with over 2.2 million displaced and affected brothers and sisters in Gaza. Additionally, Alkhidmat, together with the people of Pakistan, showed utmost solidarity on Eid by dedicating Eid to Gaza, carrying the Palestinian Keffiyeh, and holding the Palestine flag. Glimpses of Alkhidmat's Eid arrangements for Gazan families in Cairo, Egypt

On the 15th of Ramadan, observed as the Day of Orphans, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, spent time with the orphan children at Aghosh Alkhidmat Home in Peshawar. A significant event was organized at the venue, presided over by Khalid Waqas, the Provincial President of the Alkhidmat Foundation KP, with Chief Minister Gandapur as the chief guest.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Gandapur expressed his admiration for the humanitarian efforts of the Alkhidmat Foundation and pledged the government&rsquo;s full support for charitable endeavors of Alkhidmat. He also shared the joy of Eid by giving Eidi to the children.

The event was attended by the former senior provincial minister, Inayatullah Khan, provincial ministers Meena Khan Afridi and Syed Qasim Ali Shah, the Chief Khatib of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Muhammad Tayyab Qureshi, and Provincial General Secretary AKF KP Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui. The gathering also had educators, members of the business community, representatives from government and private sectors, as well as political and social personalities and officials of Alkhidmat.

Orphan Family Support

15 Ramadan, The Day of Orphans - Day of Commitment

The Alkhidmat Foundation recently held a Donor Conference in District Abbottabad as part of its constant commitment to give orphans high-quality care and education. The occasion provided a forum for donors of Alkhidmat and benefactors to unite and pledge support for the just cause of educating and caring for orphans. 
 
The Donor Conference saw a sizable participation, a demonstration of the community&#39;s kindness and concern, as participants showed their faith in and interest in Alkhidmat&#39;s important work for orphans. A spectacular donation of PKR 35 million was made possible by the combined efforts of these kindhearted people, and it will support the Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program. 
 
Currently, 29,603 orphans are sponsored by the Alkhidmat Foundation, which gives them vital care and support. This comprises 1,837 orphans residing in Aghosh Homes, where they get thorough care and education, and 27,766 orphans supported in their residences.

The Alkhidmat Foundation is urging the community to show their support by giving their Zakat and Sadaqah as the Holy month of Ramadan draws near. By doing this, people can significantly contribute to giving widows, orphans, worthy children, students, and families in need a better life and a brighter future.

This year has been like no other. We&rsquo;ve carried out a record-breaking number of relief activities that revolve around disaster management, rehabilitation, healthcare, orphanages, education, and clean water. Together, we&rsquo;ve played a vital role in strengthening communities and facilitating civic engagement. With the intention of saving precious lives and lending a helping hand, we&rsquo;ve spent enormous funds on the welfare of people across the borders. The generosity of our donors, fundholders, and partners has surpassed our expectations and given us the opportunity to extend our humanitarian services to those in need. As a mission-driven organization, Alkhidmat Foundation holds particular accountability to lead by example in equity and inclusion. I believe we have succeeded in both.
