PESHAWAR — Alkhidmat Foundation’s Education Department organized its Annual Literary Festival at Hadaf College, involving students from 22 Alkhidmat Schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event aimed to nurture the talents of over 8,000 male and female students through competitions in essay writing, speeches, painting, Naat, Husn-e-Qirat, and poetry.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (R) Sarmad Saleem Akram, inaugurated the event. Provincial President Alkhidmat Foundation Khalid Waqas presided over the ceremony, with Chairman Peshawar Board Professor Nasrullah Khan as chief guest. The event also included Provincial Vice President AKF KP Hafiz Hameedullah Advocate, Managing Director KP Education Foundation, Zareeful Maani, General Secretary AKF KP Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, Director Education AKF KP Fazal Mahmood, ADO Education Professor Saleem Afaqi, Professor Dr. Ishaq Wardag, and President Alkhidmat Peshawar Arbab Abdul Haseeb.
The speakers emphasized Alkhidmat’s contributions to education and stressed the need for collective efforts by parents, teachers, and government stakeholders to enhance literacy and promote quality education.
Outstanding students were awarded shields and cash prizes. Commemorative shields were presented to guest judges, including teachers from renowned institutions.
Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
