Severe flooding triggered by torrential rains across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has left hundreds dead and many more missing, with vast swathes of property, farmland, and livestock swept away in the deluge. Among the hardest-hit regions are Buner, Bajaur, Swat, Batgram and charsadda, where survivors continue to search desperately for loved ones amid the destruction.
The Alkhidmat Foundation has mobilized emergency teams to lead rescue and relief operations. Volunteers and medical staff have been working around the clock to retrieve bodies, arrange funerals, and transport the injured to hospitals using Alkhidmat’s ambulance service.
In flood hit areas, relief workers distributed cooked meals, clean drinking water, tents, tarpaulin and other life essentials to displaced families struggling to cope with the disaster. “Our teams are active on the ground, conducting rescue operations and taking preventive measures to minimize further damage,” said Khalid Waqas, president Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, medical camps have been established in flood hit areas to provide medical aid to flood affectees. 
Alkhidmat volunteers remain on high alert as water levels in the Kabul River continue to rise, threatening surrounding villages and towns. Alkhidmat disaster management department, supported by trained volunteers, have expanded their operations to other vulnerable districts. 
The provincial leadership of Alkhidmat has issued a “red alert” across all districts, warning of additional flooding in the coming days. “Our rescue teams are closely monitoring river flows and are stationed near high-risk areas,” Waqas added.
