Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a special event in Peshawar, focusing on support and inclusion for disabled children.
Medical checkups of the children were conducted and they were provided with essential items, including ration packs, warm clothes, shoes, and wheelchairs. Entertainment activities were also arranged, bringing joy and smiles to the children.
Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Arbab Abdul Haseeb, District President; Javed Gill, Director Alkhidmat Minority Wing; Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Regional Manager; and Muhammad Waseem, Senior Program Manager, along with other social figures were present on the occasion. They spent time with the children, offering encouragement and support.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the needs and rights of disabled individuals, emphasizing that they are an integral part of society. Organizers stressed the shared responsibility to care for and uplift them.
The event also stressed that children with disabilities are not alone. Alkhidmat is committed to improving their lives and ensuring they can equally experience the joys and challenges of life.
Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
