The Disaster Management Department of Alkhidmat Foundation successfully concluded a series of rescue training exercises across Dir Lower and Charsadda. These trainings, aimed at enhancing the preparedness of rescue teams, were conducted over multiple days with the participation of dedicated volunteers.
In Dir Lower, the three-day training was held to equip rescue teams with essential skills for responding to emergencies. Fazal Mahmood, National Director Alkhidmat Disaster Management Pakistan, emphasized the importance of such drills in preparing teams to handle challenging rescue operations and provide immediate assistance during crises. He extended gratitude to Rescue 1122 for their collaborative efforts and reaffirmed Alkhidmat's commitment to humanitarian service.
Meanwhile, in Charsadda, another group of 100 volunteers underwent rigorous training sessions at the Sports Complex. This five-day program, organized in partnership with Mercy Malaysia and Rescue 1122, focused on disaster management strategies crucial for monsoon seasons. Officials including Gul Nawaz, Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief and Response, and Pir Masood Jan, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Charsadda, commended the dedication of the volunteers and recognized Alkhidmat's significant role in community welfare.
Both events concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants, acknowledging their commitment to humanitarian service and readiness to assist in times of need.
Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
