KOHAT &mdash; The foundation stone for the Emergency Block at Alkhidmat Naseem Khan Memorial Hospital was laid during a ceremony attended by Alkhidmat officials and local dignitaries. 
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, presided over the event. Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Abdul Akram Chitrali, was the chief guest on the occasion. 
Among the attendees were Khalid Waqas, President AKF KP, Dr. Luqman Khan, and District President Ejaz Ahmed, along with other notable figures. 
Speakers on the occasion said that Alkhidmat Foundation aims to enhance public health services across Pakistan. The organization has established numerous hospitals, health clinics, diagnostic centers, thalassemia centers, mobile health units, and hold free medical camps, providing essential care to millions of patients nationwide.

One year has passed since the humanitarian disaster in Gaza escalated into a full-blown crisis. The people of Gaza have been caught in a relentless cycle of violence, displacement, and deprivation, with no end in sight. October 7, 2023, marked a critical turning point for Gaza. Over the last year, Gaza has faced continuous bombardment, blockades, and a mounting humanitarian crisis. The situation spiraled out of control with repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure, hospitals, schools, and essential services, leading to an unprecedented level of suffering. Children and families bear the brunt of the ongoing violence, with many living in fear and uncertainty. The war has not only destroyed homes but also shattered dreams, robbing children of their education, their mental well-being, and their basic right to safety. It has led to thousands of casualties and left millions struggling to survive amidst the ruins of a once vibrant community. The effects of this prolonged conflict are devastating, especially for the most vulnerable&mdash;children. Families face constant threats from airstrikes, and life in Gaza has become a daily struggle for survival. According to reports, the death toll continues to rise, with thousands losing their lives and countless others suffering from physical and psychological wounds

 
Children in Gaza face an uncertain future, deprived of education, safe homes, and even basic healthcare. The mental health crisis among Gaza&#39;s youth is rapidly escalating, with trauma and anxiety deeply embedded in their everyday lives. Amidst these harrowing conditions, the Alkhidmat Foundation has emerged as a beacon of hope, providing essential services and relief to the besieged population of Gaza. Over the past year, Alkhidmat has mobilized substantial resources to aid the affected families in Gaza, offering a lifeline during the darkest times.

Alkhidmat&rsquo;s Palestine Relief program has made a significant impact through the following contributions:

	<li>Air Cargo &amp; Sea Shipments: Over 2,707 tons of aid have been delivered, includin critical supplies such as food, medicine, and hygiene kits.</li>
	<li>Medical Aid: More than 327 tons of medicines have been provided, alongside 2 ambulances to support emergency medical care.</li>
	<li>Food &amp; Nutrition Support: The foundation has distributed more than 78,398 hot meals, 30,508 food packs, and 353,000 bottles of water to families living under extreme conditions.</li>
	<li>Shelter &amp; Hygiene: Alkhidmat has supplied tents, blankets, and winter packs to shelter displaced families, while distributing over 23,373 hygiene kits and 5,000 jerry cans of water.</li>
	<li>Educational Support: The foundation also recognizes the critical importance of education, supporting 214 students through academic scholarships and operating 2 schools in Gaza to provide continuity in education despite the war</li>

Many children have been left orphaned or traumatized. Free Eye Camp in Dir Upper 
DIR UPPER: A three-day free eye camp was held at Alkhidmat Hamida Mumtaz Hospital in Chikyatan, Dir Upper, wherein over 1,000 patients were examined. More than 50 cataract surgeries were performed, and patients received free spectacles and medications.

Wedding Ceremony for Deserving Couples 
PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat Foundation organized a joyful wedding event for 20 deserving couples. Each couple received wedding gifts, and a celebratory feast was arranged.

Medical Aid in Nowshera 
NOWSHERA: A medical camp in Nowshera offered free medical assistance to those in need, ensuring that essential healthcare reached underserved communities.

National Rescue Challenge 2024 
LAHORE: Alkhidmat Foundation&rsquo;s Disaster Management Team participated in the National Rescue Challenge 2024, organized by Rescue 1122. This three-day event aimed to enhance emergency response skills.

Rope &amp; Rescue Training 
PESHAWAR: A training workshop focused on rope and rescue preparedness was held in Peshawar to equip Alkhidmat volunteers with essential skills for emergency situations.

Water Filtration Training Workshop 
PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat&#39;s Wash Program hosted a workshop for water filtration plant. At the workshop the protocols and operations of the plants were explained.

Celebrate & Support Together

The Alkhidmat Foundation organized mass weddings for 20 poor and deserving couples in Peshawar. The event was attended by more than 1,000 guests, including family and friends. 
Vice Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaquat Baloch, was the chief guest at the ceremony, which was presided over by Provincial Ameer Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan. The event was part of the Asan Nikah Project, which has organized and supported the marriages of 717 poor and deserving couples across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so far.

Each couple received household items worth 185,000 rupees, including a double bed, washing machine, fan, dressing table, sewing machine, and various kitchen sets. The costs of the ceremony were covered by local philanthropists. Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan officiated the weddings, and gifts were presented to the brides at a separate venue. Alkhidmat Foundation also provided a feast for all guests, celebrating this significant occasion.
