Recent floods have wreaked havoc in Upper Chitral, prompting Alkhidmat Foundation to undertake rapid rescue and relief activities.
The main bridge and road in Booni were washed away, severing its connection with Lower Chitral. In Shishi Koh Valley, melting glaciers caused severe damage to dozens of houses, crops, and gardens, while electricity poles and communication bridges were destroyed.
In response, Alkhidmat Foundation has been at the forefront of relief efforts. The foundation organized free medical camps in Bumburet Kalash Valley and other flood-hit areas, providing hundreds of patients with medical examinations and medicines.
Additionally, Alkhidmat volunteers delivered tents, tarpaulins, dry rations, and household goods to affected households in Goleen Chashma. The foundation's rescue team also constructed a temporary footbridge in the Koghuzi canal, restoring a vital route for travelers.
Alkhidmat Foundation remains committed to aiding flood victims, continuing their efforts to provide essential supplies and support to the impacted communities.
Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
