<h3>PESHAWAR: In observance of 15th Ramadan, Orphan Day, a special iftar dinner was hosted at the Chief Minister&rsquo;s House in Peshawar, bringing together orphaned children under the care of Alkhidmat Foundation and other welfare organizations.</h3>

The event, aimed at honoring and supporting these children, saw the Chief Minister distributing gifts and Eid allowances among them. As part of the initiative, Alkhidmat Foundation provided Eid clothes to 800 children, ensuring they could celebrate the festive occasion with joy.

Alkhidmat Foundation&rsquo;s provincial president Khalid Waqas, vice president Fida Muhammad Khan, district president Arbab Abdul Haseeb and others attended the event.

The gathering highlighted the collective effort of welfare organizations and the provincial leadership in ensuring the well-being of orphaned children, reaffirming the commitment to providing them with care, dignity, and a sense of belonging during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan & Charity: Alkhidmat’s Mission to Serve Humanity

<h3>PESHAWAR: Renowned international cricketer Ahmad Shehzad embarked on a heartfelt visit to multiple Alkhidmat Foundation initiatives in Peshawar and Lower Dir, where he engaged with young students, children battling thalassemia, and orphaned youth, spreading encouragement and hope.</h3>

At the Alkhidmat Thalassemia Center Peshawar, Shehzad distributed gifts among children fighting the disease, offering them words of encouragement. Accompanied by Alkhidmat Foundation&rsquo;s provincial president, Khalid Waqas, he also toured the hospital, blood bank, and diagnostic center, receiving a briefing on the foundation&rsquo;s extensive healthcare services.

Later, at the Bano Qabil PAC Campus, Shehzad met IT students enrolled in Alkhidmat&rsquo;s free tech training programs. He applauded their dedication and the foundation&rsquo;s efforts in equipping youth with digital skills, urging students to seize these opportunities for a better future.

In a display of warmth and camaraderie, Shehzad then joined the children of Aghosh Alkhidmat Peshawar for iftar, sharing a meal and offering encouragement. His visit concluded in Lower Dir, where he played cricket with orphaned children at another Aghosh facility, uplifting their spirits with his presence and support.

Cricketer Ahmad Shehzad Spreads Hope

PESHAWAR: In a heartfelt effort to support the underprivileged, Alkhidmat Foundation distributed essential Ramadan rations to over 300 individuals, including people with disabilities, widows, transgender individuals, local artists, and those in dire financial need.

The distribution event, held in Peshawar, was part of the foundation&#39;s broader initiative to provide relief across the province. Speaking at the occasion, Khalid Waqas, provincial president Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasized the urgent need for such initiatives.

&ldquo;With rising poverty, inflation, and unemployment, thousands of families struggle to afford even the most basic necessity&mdash;food,&rdquo; Waqas stated. &ldquo;Our mission is clear: no one should go hungry.&rdquo;

He extended gratitude to philanthropists whose contributions enable Alkhidmat to continue its humanitarian efforts. &ldquo;In every crisis, we stand with the suffering, working tirelessly to ease their hardships,&rdquo; he added.

The foundation has pledged to continue distributing aid throughout the holy month of Ramadan, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of society receive the support they need.

"No One Should Go Hungry": Alkhidmat Distributes Ramadan Rations

The 15th of Ramadan holds special significance for Muslims around the world, not only because it marks the midpoint of the holy month of fasting but also because it is observed as World Orphan Day.

This day calls on individuals, communities, and organizations to reflect on the plight of orphans globally and recognize their needs for love, support, and care.

How Islam Protects the Rights of Orphans

Being most vulnerable members of society, Islam legalized the rights of orphans from childhood to adulthood and created a complete constitution to respect and guarantee these rights. The orphan is mentioned in 22 verses of the Holy Quran.

Allah says have you seen the one who denies the (Day of) Judgment? This is the one who pushes away the orphan.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a special bond with orphans, as he himself was an orphan, and he often highlighted the virtues of caring for them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) described the best house as one where an orphan lives.

Alkhidmat Foundation, a prominent humanitarian organization in Pakistan, plays an active role in celebrating World Orphan Day. The foundation is known for its efforts in providing support and care to orphans.

Special Events and Gatherings: Alkhidmat Foundation arranges events where orphans are gathered and celebrated. These events often include meals, entertainment, and gift distribution. Volunteers and community members come together to make the day memorable for the children.

Grand Iftar:&nbsp;Alkhidmat Foundation has a tradition of organizing Grand Iftar events during Ramadan to foster community unity and support those in need. This Ramadan Grand Iftar is being organized at UMT Lahore and in Birmingham as well as, UK, on 22nd of March on Saturday. In previous years, such events have been held at venues like Punjab University New Campus in Lahore, bringing together students and community members for shared Iftar meals.&nbsp;

Financial and Educational Support: On this day, the foundation also ensures that orphans receive financial support, educational scholarships, and access to healthcare. Many orphans are given the resources they need for better futures, including school supplies, uniforms, and sometimes even full sponsorship for their education.

Community Awareness: The foundation uses World Orphan Day to raise awareness about the plight of orphans. Campaigns, fundraisers, and media outreach are common to encourage people to contribute and support orphan care.

Surviving Orphans of Gaza:&nbsp;Additionally, Alkhidmat Foundation continues its efforts to provide Iftar meals to displaced Palestinian families, serving 500 families in recent initiatives. Alkhidmat academic scholarship sponsors 400 students on monthly bases. Right now in Cairo, 300 students have been accommodated and two Alkhidmat schools have been initiated in Gaza.
