A special event was held at Alkhidmat Hospital Peshawar to celebrate International Nurses Day. Commissioner Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud, attended as the chief guest.
The ceremony was attended by President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Waqas, heads of nursing departments from various government hospitals, nurses, and notable figures.
During the event, the crucial role of nurses in creating a healthy society was highlighted and praised. Provincial President of Alkhidmat Foundation, Khalid Waqas, emphasized the importance of the nursing profession in both the health sector and Islam, describing it as a sacred service to humanity.
Commissioner Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud, addressed the gathering, acknowledging the nation's appreciation for the dedication and services of nurses. He expressed pride in Alkhidmat Foundation's contributions to building a healthier society and noted the successful collaboration between the government and the foundation in health, education, and other sectors.
Commissioner Mehsud also commended the modern medical facilities at Alkhidmat Hospital, highlighting the success of the Alkhidmat Drug Rehab Center in helping many individuals overcome addiction and lead productive lives.
During the ceremony, commemorative shields and certificates were awarded to nursing staff from various hospitals and nursing colleges in recognition of their outstanding services.
Other notable attendees included Arbab Abdul Haseeb, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Peshawar, Dr. Iqtar Ahmad Roghani, Director of Alkhidmat Hospital Peshawar, and business leader Ihtesham Haleem.
Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
