Alkhidmat Foundation's Orphan Care Program
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is committed to providing orphan and abandoned children with the support they need to lead a fulfilling life. Currently, over 30,000 children receive quality education, healthcare, nutritious food, clothing, and toys through Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program. However, millions of orphans in Pakistan still lack access to basic necessities. Through Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program and Orphan Family Support Program, the foundation aims to uplift social conditions of orphans in Pakistan. The Orphan Family Support Program provides financial support for education and everyday expenses to orphan children aged 16 or below, while ensuring comprehensive mental, social, and moral growth through a multi-module framework. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan relies on its network of volunteers across all 135 districts of Pakistan to identify potential candidates for support. The financial support provided by Alkhidmat includes school fees, a quarterly allowance, and an educational kit that includes a school bag, curriculum books, stationery, seasonal uniforms, and shoes. Additionally, the Child Character Development Program is designed for the moral and social growth of sponsored children. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan also provides interest-free loans to mothers of orphaned children to help them become self-reliant members of society. These loans can be used to purchase cattle, sewing machines, or start a business. To ensure the well-being of the children and their mothers, Alkhidmat provides routine physical health screenings and arranges medical treatment if necessary. Study centers have also been established to provide a supportive learning environment.

Alkhidmat Orphan Care Orphans are the most neglected class of our society. And one can imagine the pain and mental distress of these children who due to unfavourable circumstances are left either at the mercy of the state or humanitarian organizations. Poverty, illiteracy, hunger, diseases, and the unavailability of social protection are some of the things that are always hovering over orphan children. Alkhidmat Foundation takes pride in its comprehensive Orphan Care Program that consists of Aghosh Homes in which state-of-the-art residential, recreational and education facilities are being provided to the registered orphan children. Moreover, through Orphan Family Support Program (OFSP), we bring the donor into direct contact with the orphan boy and girl who live in their own homes along with other family members. Clusters have been arranged to carry forward this program.
