In Pakistan, the health sector has been badly neglected and policy makers have shown a callous lack of concern for educating the people and providing them with health care. The under-development of the health sector is manifested in Pakistan’s poor health-related key indicators.
Further, rapid growth in population has exerted severe pressure on health services and facilities. Available health facilities are insufficient when compared to the growing population. Lack of health services in rural areas causes severe health related problems where health services are required for saving lives of poor and underprivileged people.
