Through their contributions, we were able to bring happiness and relief to countless brothers and sisters in need.</h1>

We are especially grateful to those who showed the true spirit of Islam by providing unwavering support to the flood victims in Pakistan, as well as to the children of Syria, Palestine, Turkey, and Rohingya. Together, we were able to make a significant impact and bring hope to those who have lost so much.

Giving Back with Alkhidmat

PESHAWAR: On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, health professionals, government officials, and civil society leaders gathered in Peshawar to call for urgent and united action to prevent the spread of thalassemia, a life-threatening genetic blood disorder.

The event, hosted by Alkhidmat Hospital in Nishtarabad, featured a public awareness walk and a seminar aimed at educating people about the disease and its prevention.

Speaking at the seminar, Provincial Information Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif emphasized the importance of a joint effort involving the government, religious scholars, political parties, media, and civil society. &ldquo;The only effective way to stop thalassemia from spreading is through awareness and prevention,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;This is not just a health issue, it is a collective social responsibility.&rdquo;

Barrister Saif announced that the provincial government is including thalassemia treatment in its Sehat Insaf Card program, which provides free healthcare to residents. He added that awareness campaigns through mosques, media, and community platforms are a top priority.

Alkhidmat&rsquo;s provincial president, Khalid Waqas, Major General (Retired) Abid Latif, Director Alkhidmat Hajra Hamza Foundation and Alkhidmat provincial vice president, Fida Muhammad Khan also addressed the gathering. They explained that thalassemia is passed from parents to children and that there is currently no permanent cure except bone marrow transplant, which is expensive and rare.

Speakers urged enforcement of existing laws requiring couples to undergo thalassemia testing before marriage. &ldquo;This law was passed during the MMA government, but it needs real enforcement to save future generations,&rdquo; said Dr. Naveed Sharif, another speaker at the seminar.

According to health experts, an estimated 5,000 new thalassemia cases are reported every year in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Consanguineous marriages, especially between cousins, remain one of the major contributing factors to the spread of the disease.

Alkhidmat Foundation currently provides free blood transfusions and other medical support to over 1,300 registered thalassemia patients across Peshawar, Charsadda, Kohat, and Abbottabad. The foundation reports that many of these patients come from across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab regions.

During the event organizers presented commemorative shields to the chief guests. The awareness walk, held in front of the hospital, saw wide participation from healthcare workers, volunteers, and community members.

Awareness, Action Urged on Thalassemia Day in KP

When someone gives Qurbani Fi Sabeel Lillah, they are offering the sacrifice with sincerity and devotion, not for show. Often donating the entirety of the meat to the needy rather than keeping any for themselves. &nbsp;

Qurbani refers to the sacrifice of an animal usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel&nbsp;during Eid al-Adha, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim&#39;s (A.S.) willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah&#39;s command. Fi Sabeel Lillah means &quot;in the path of Allah&quot; or &quot;for the sake of Allah.&quot; It&#39;s used to describe acts done purely for Allah&rsquo;s pleasure, without seeking any worldly return. It captures both the spiritual essence of sacrifice and its transformative impact on others.

&ldquo;Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.&rdquo; (Qur&rsquo;an 6:162)

&quot;O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does the one who spends his wealth to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day...&quot; Surah Al-Baqarah (2:264).&nbsp;

Aiming to seek Allah&rsquo;s reward and serve humanity, especially in regions where meat is a rare luxury. &nbsp;

Qurbani, or Udhiyah, the act of sacrificing an animal during Eid al-Adha for the sake of Allah, goes far beyond the ritual itself &mdash; it&rsquo;s deeply spiritual and can profoundly impact lives in multiple ways, both for the person giving the sacrifice and those receiving it. Here&#39;s how it changes lives:&nbsp;

<h1>How Qurbani Fi&nbsp;Sabeel Lillah Strengthens the Relationship with Allah </h1>

Qurbani is an act of submission and obedience, reflecting the willingness to sacrifice something valuable purely for the sake of Allah &mdash; just as Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was ready to sacrifice his son. It nurtures taqwa (God-consciousness) and helps a person detach from materialism and ego.

&ldquo;It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.&mdash; Surah Al-Hajj 22:37&nbsp;

Qurbani fi sabeel Lillah&mdash;sacrificing for the sake of Allah&mdash;deeply nurtures a spiritual connection with Him in several powerful ways. Here&#39;s how it strengthens that bond:

<h2>1. Obedience to Allah&#39;s Command</h2>

At its core, Qurbani is an act of pure submission. When you perform Qurbani fi sabeel Lillah, you&#39;re following in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his beloved son out of unwavering obedience. That act alone is a declaration: &quot;Ya Allah, Your command is above everything.&quot; Obedience builds trust and love&mdash;just like in any relationship. The more you obey Allah sincerely, the more connected you feel to Him.&nbsp;

Giving up something valuable&mdash;an animal, wealth, or comfort&mdash;fi sabeel Lillah helps detach the heart from worldly things and reattach it to the Creator. It&#39;s a reminder: &quot;Nothing I own is truly mine; everything belongs to Allah.&quot; That shift realigns your heart with your ultimate purpose.

<h2>3. Spiritual Cleansing</h2>

The Quran says:

&quot;It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.&mdash; [Surah Al-Hajj 22:37]&nbsp;

The act itself isn&#39;t about the physical sacrifice. It&#39;s about what it represents&mdash;your sincerity, humility, and taqwa (God-consciousness). That internal state draws you closer to Allah.

The meat is often shared in thirds: one for the family, one for relatives/friends, and one for the poor. This distribution ensures that everyone, even the most vulnerable, can enjoy the blessings of Eid. It teaches empathy and breaks social barriers &mdash; the wealthy and the poor are united under one cause.

<h1>The Social Impact of Qurbani: Encourages Charity and Social Responsibility</h1>

When done &quot;fi&nbsp;sabeel Lillah&quot;, the intent is purely for the sake of Allah, often with the whole portion given to those in need. This is especially impactful in areas where families might go months without access to meat due to poverty. Qurbani instills a habit of giving without expecting anything in return. For many people around the world, the meat they receive during Eid al-Adha might be the only time they get to eat meat all year. That simple act of giving becomes a lifeline.

Qurbani Made Simple: What You Need to Know Before Eid ul Adha 2025

BUNER: Aghosh Alkhidmat Home Buner, a modern residential facility for orphan Childre, was officially inaugurated. The project will support and care for 200 orphaned children, offering them shelter, education, and a brighter future.

The opening ceremony was led by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, alongside Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. The event marked a significant step in Alkhidmat&rsquo;s ongoing efforts to expand its social welfare network across the country.

The opening ceremony was attended by Air Marshal (Retd.) Farooq Habib, Chairman Aghosh Homes, and Inayatullah Khan, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North. They addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of caring for the vulnerable and providing safe spaces for children in need.

Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Professor Dr. Abdul Malik, Chairman Aghosh Buner also joined the event and spoke about the foundation&rsquo;s work across Pakistan. They thanked philanthropists and volunteers for their continuous trust and support in Alkhidmat&rsquo;s mission.

ADC Buner Akram Shah, Alkhidmat Buner President Akbar Khan Advocate, and Mustafa Advocate were also present on the occasion. They emphasized the value of community support in sustaining long-term welfare initiatives.

In recognition of their contributions to the construction and development of the Aghosh Home, commemorative shields were presented to noted social worker Haji Ghulam Ali, Director Aghosh USA Ahmad Islam, and Project Head Construction Adil Hussain, among others.

Aghosh Alkhidmat Home Buner Opens

ISLAMABAD: Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa signed an agreement with TechValley Pakistan&mdash;Google&rsquo;s official partner in the country&mdash;to offer free Google Career Certificates to students across the province.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Islamabad between Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Foundation KP, and Madiha Hussain Mangol, Program Manager for Google Career Certificates at TechValley. The initiative is part of Alkhidmat&rsquo;s &ldquo;Bano Qabil KP&rdquo; program, which aims to equip young people with globally recognized digital skills&mdash;entirely free of charge.
