Alkhidmat KP and BRT Peshawar Signed an MOU to Enhance Travel Facilities

A strategic partnership has been developed between the AlKhidmat Foundation and Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to improve transit amenities for marginalized populations, such as women and people with disabilities. The CEO of Peshawar BRT, Dr. Tariq Usman, and the provincial president of AlKhidmat Foundation, Khalid Waqas, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) emphasizing their shared commitment to promoting equality and accessibility in public transportation. In accordance with the agreement, the AlKhidmat Foundation has given 50 wheelchairs at different BRT stations to help people who have mobility problems.

The collaboration also provides free medical care at AlKhidmat Hospital Nishtarabad, Peshawar, to children of BRT employees who have thalassemia. Moreover, in an emergency, AlKhidmat Ambulance Service will make use of the BRT track, guaranteeing prompt help and intervention when it's most needed.

The AlKhidmat Foundation's campaigns and activities will be prominently exhibited on screens inside Peshawar's BRT buses and stops, with the aim of increasing awareness of their humanitarian projectThe goal of this cooperative endeavor is to develop a more adaptable and inclusive transportation system that meets the many demands of the local community.

The signing of the accord is a significant step toward building a more inclusive and equitable society. AlKhidmat Foundation and BRT are unwavering in their commitment to helping the community's most disadvantaged citizens and attending to their needs.
