PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (AKF KP) Wednesday organized a mass wedding ceremony for 31 orphaned and underprivileged brides under its Aasan Nikah Program.
The event took place at a local hall in Peshawar, with Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Ameer-ul-Azeem, attending as the chief guest.
Each couple received household items worth Rs250,000, including a double bed, washing machine, pedestal fan, iron, juicer, hot pot, cookware, dinner set, tea and water set, kitchen set, bathroom set, and winter bedding package.
JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Central Ameer Abdul Wasi officiated the marriage contracts. Among those present were Alkhidmat Foundation Central Vice President Zikrullah Mujahid, former provincial minister Syed Zahir Ali Shah, JI District Ameer Bahrullah Khan, Alkhidmat Provincial President Khalid Waqas, District President Arbab Abdul Haseeb, Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief, President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries Junaid Altaf, Ms. Uzma Mukarram and families of the couples.
Speaking at the event, Ameer-ul-Azeem said the family unit is the foundation of society, and its stability is key to social harmony. He emphasized the need to preserve family values to build a strong and moral society.
He noted that Alkhidmat Foundation continues to work for a welfare-oriented society, serving people without discrimination. He urged collective action to address national and social challenges, adding that Alkhidmat’s work embodies the spirit of shared responsibility.
In his remarks, Khalid Waqas encouraged philanthropists to support Alkhidmat’s Aasan Nikah Project, which helps deserving youth unable to bear wedding expenses. He said such contributions strengthen the mission of serving humanity without unfairness.











Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
