Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provided wedding gifts worth Rs3 million to 28 deserving and orphan brides under its Nikah Aasan Program at a ceremony held in Mardan.
The brides, belonging to Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi and Mardan, were provided household items worth more than Rs100,000 per bride, Vice President AKF KP Taj Malook, told media.
The gift packages included washing machines, pedestal fans, crockery, dinner and tea sets, water and bathroom sets, blankets, quilts, winter packages, clothes, shoes and 18 other household-use items.
Speaking at the event, he said the initiative was aimed at reducing the financial burden on low-income families and helping newly married brides set up their homes with basic necessities.
The ceremony was attended by Ghulam Rasool, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Mardan, Akhtar Javed, President AKF Swabi, Dr. Arshad Ahmad President AKF Mardan, other local leaders and family members of the brides.
A luncheon for the relatives of the 28 brides was also arranged as part of the event.



Bio. Alkhidmat has acted efficiently and provided help to victims of disasters whether that was the recent 2022 Pakistan flood or the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir.
