In Pakistan and among other developing nations, reside the unfortunate individuals who almost yearly face dire losses at the hands of Monsoon floods despite their limited ability to deal with natural hazards and climatic distress, all due to grave inattention by the government to basic infrastructure development, inadequate legislations for environmental protection irrespective of the regime, unstable economy with drastic variation in income consumption behavior and uncontrollable variability in weather. In the context of Pakistan with this high risk of natural calamities, our women are far more vulnerable to disasters particularly due to no or less control over ownership of resources as a result of their socially inferior position.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have released in recent reports that nearly 4 million people have been affected since late June, with over 1,000 deaths and hundreds of thousands of homes destroyed by the inundation. Although these figures unfortunately keep rising, we must note that among them are an estimated 1.5 million women of reproductive age, now surviving in makeshift shelters where sanitation and privacy are scarce and face issues like homelessness, lack of financial and nutritional provisions and no access to even the very basic modalities of healthcare.

As the entire nation grapples with the aftermath of the devastating floods of 2025, millions of displaced women face a massively overlooked emergency: the struggle to maintain hygiene and dignity in relief camps and submerged villages. They also go through extreme levels of hardship for protecting their family from health hazards, arranging medicine and meals often covering several miles to obtain water for cooking and washing purposes with oftentimes little choice but to sell their only asset; jewelry in order to somewhat stabilize the status of their disaster-stricken households. This results in progressive physical and mental health decline and the lack of available resources further aggravates it.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Women&rsquo;s needs are frequently ignored from health facilities during disasters, specially in those of reproductive age and unfortunately despite all sorts of modern advancements in technology; those who are menstruating, lactating and pregnant suffer more. While floods wash away homes, crops, and livelihoods, they also disrupt access to very basic health services and hygiene facilities. For women and girls, this creates unique risks; some of which can be summarized into:

<h2>1. Compromised maternal and child health</h2>

Many pregnant women have lost access to antenatal and postnatal care, with rural health centers damaged or unreachable. No healthcare setups to cater for their basic and advanced needs during term, delivery or post-partum.&nbsp;

High incidence of infections like hepatitis, UTIs and chorioamnionitis may complicate several pregnancies and gynecological exams and sterile birth is challenging.&nbsp;

Lactating mothers and infants suffer from limited financial, nutritional, pharmaceutical and vital health resources. Planned parenthood is increasingly out of reach in the current lack of essential tools and counselling services.

<h2>2. Rising risk of different illnesses</h2>

Stagnant water is fueling outbreaks of waterborne diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, conjunctivitis, gastroenteritis, skin diseases, tick bites, lice and flea infestations, parasitic and non-parasitic infections.&nbsp;

Numerous cases of high-mortality febrile illnesses like malaria and dengue emerge. Communicable diseases like influenza, measles, tuberculosis as well as hepatitis A and E thrive in poor sanitation.&nbsp;

Impossibly high incidence of multitude of diseases outweighs treatability in the face of limited medications and supplies, aggravated by logistical turmoil and domestic financial crises.

<h2>3. Menstrual and other hygiene crises</h2>

Essential amenities for life such as clean water and safe shelter are not available. Without sanitary products or private toilets, many women are forced to wait until dusk or nightfall to relieve themselves outdoors in unsanitary locations.&nbsp;

This hazards exposing them involuntarily to snake and scorpion bites, insect-borne diseases, dermatological rashes, genitourinary infections and unfortunate but ever-looming incidents of physical and sexual harassment.

Humanitarian data highlights that 44% of pregnant women in Pakistan are already anemic. With limited food, poor sanitation, and no privacy, the floods have pushed many into even more dangerous conditions. A mother in a relief camp near Multan described her ordeal;

<var>&ldquo;We have lost our homes and now we have lost our privacy too. Even soap or a sanitary pad feels like a luxury.&quot;</var>

&nbsp;

Recognising this urgent need, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Punjab Health Department has taken action to protect the dignity of displaced women. Alkhidmat Foundation resolutely stands at the forefront of rehabilitation through continued disaster management campaigns and hones focus at the diverse issues faced by female flood victims nationwide where 5,000 Hygiene and Dignity Kits were officially handed over to the Director General Health Services Punjab for distribution in flood-affected districts. Despite this ongoing campaign, we must note that aid workers stress that 5,000 kits are only just the beginning. This is proving to be a mere drop in the ocean with millions still affected and without any supplies. Therefore expanding hygiene and sanitation facilities as well as women&rsquo;s healthcare services will be crucial to preventing a secondary health crisis on top of the pre-existing list of endless damages. An affiliate health officer provides the following comment;

But the massive impact of Pakistan floods once again revealed that though disasters strike indiscriminately of gender, the burden of rehabilitation really hits women the hardest. Women’s Hygiene Crisis in the Wake of Pakistan’s 2025 Floods

<h1 data-end="239" data-start="174">Volunteers and Donors Recognized as True Heroes of Humanity</h1>

Lahore, September 27, 2025 Alkhidmat Foundation organized a major relief event at Kasur Ganda Singh Wala, where refreshments were served to 2,000 affected individuals, lunch was arranged, and one-month food rations were distributed among flood-affected families.

&nbsp;

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan,&nbsp;Syed Waqas Jafri, said that the River Sutlej had inundated several villages in Kasur, where Alkhidmat officials and volunteers played a vital role in rescuing the affected people and relocating them to safe areas. He added that tent villages were established at various locations in Punjab, where volunteers actively hosted and assisted displaced families.

&nbsp;

He stated:&nbsp;&ldquo;The volunteers who served tirelessly, both in the darkness of night and the light of day, and the donors who devoted their wealth for the cause, are all true heroes of humanity. Without these heroes, it would not have been possible for Alkhidmat to extend such wide-ranging services. We are grateful to them and pray to Almighty Allah for their immense reward.&quot;

Mr. Jafri further said that with the floodwaters now receding, families would gradually rebuild their homes, reclaim their fertile lands, and return to normal life.&nbsp;&ldquo;Today, we are bidding farewell to these 2,000 families with one month food rations, essential supplies, and our prayers. Alkhidmat will continue to stand by them in every possible way during their rehabilitation journey,&rdquo;&nbsp;he added.

The event was also attended by&nbsp;Muhammad Javed Kasuri, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Central Punjab,&nbsp;Ikramul Haq Subhani, President Alkhidmat Central Punjab, along with local officials.

Highlighting the dedication of Alkhidmat volunteers across the country, Mr. Jafri noted:&nbsp;&ldquo;From Khyber to Karachi, Punjab, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit, our volunteers have set new examples of service. In Buner, our volunteer Zahoor sacrificed his life while rescuing flood victims. Another volunteer, Ismail, was critically injured during relief activities and is currently on a ventilator, while Malik Hamid was severely injured while delivering food to affected areas. These are our real heroes, who continue to serve humanity without caring for their own lives.&rdquo;

Alkhidmat Delivers Food to 2,000 Flood Hit Families in Kasur

<h1 data-end="283" data-start="221">Nationwide Relief Operations Continue as Alkhidmat Reaches Thousands of Flood Victims</h1>

Lahore, September 23, 2025&nbsp;Alkhidmat Foundation has so far spent&nbsp;Rs1.10 billion&nbsp;on relief and rehabilitation activities for flood-affected communities across Pakistan, said&nbsp;Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, while presiding over a review meeting of the ongoing Flood Rescue and Relief Operation.

&nbsp;

CEO&nbsp;briefed participants on Alkhidmat&rsquo;s humanitarian efforts in 58 districts. Prof.&nbsp;Dr.&nbsp;Hafeez ur Rehman&nbsp;noted that in the first phase, only a few districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir were affected. However, following cloudbursts, heavy rains, and river flooding after August 15, large parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and other regions came under severe impact.

&nbsp;

He added that within hours of the August 15 emergency meeting, Alkhidmat volunteers launched rescue operations that have now continued for more than 40 days. During this period,&nbsp;16,421 volunteers&nbsp;conducted&nbsp;2,161 emergency rescue operations&nbsp;using&nbsp;31 boats&nbsp;and&nbsp;130 machinery units, safely relocating&nbsp;38,606 people&nbsp;to safer places.

&nbsp;

So far, the foundation has distributed&nbsp;424,051 cooked food boxes&nbsp;and provided&nbsp;monthly ration packages to 44,695 families. Fifteen tent villages were established, accommodating&nbsp;16,327 individuals&nbsp;with access to food, clean water, healthcare, schooling, play areas for children, and in some cases mosques and libraries.

&nbsp;

In the health sector, Alkhidmat deployed&nbsp;eight mobile health units, set up&nbsp;767 medical camps, and operated&nbsp;60 ambulances, benefiting nearly&nbsp;200,000 patients and injured persons.

&nbsp;

Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman&nbsp;said that with local infrastructure, sewerage systems, and water supply lines destroyed in many areas, Alkhidmat&rsquo;s&nbsp;WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)&nbsp;programme had distributed&nbsp;359,984 water bottles, 4,776 hygiene kits, 4,023 dignity kits, 811 water tanks, and 3,869 jerry cans. Twelve mobile filtration plants continue to provide clean drinking water to affected populations.

He further added that beyond human needs, Alkhidmat also arranged fodder for livestock, supplying&nbsp;128 truckloads of feed&nbsp;in flood hit areas.

<h1 dir="ltr">A Day That Shook a Nation</h1>

On the morning of 8th October 2005, life changed forever for millions of people in northern Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. At 8:50 a.m., a 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck with terrifying force. Within minutes, thousands of homes, schools, and hospitals collapsed. Families were buried under rubble, children lost their classrooms, and entire towns like Balakot and Bagh were wiped out.

The human loss was heartbreaking:

The earthquake&rsquo;s epicenter was near Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu &amp; Kashmir, about 15 km deep in the earth. The tremors lasted less than a minute, but poor building structures and the mountainous terrain turned it into a catastrophe.

But in those first few days, when every minute meant saving lives, it was local volunteers, civil society, and community groups who were the first to act.

The impact of climate emergencies in all acute manifestations of tragedy has struck Pakistan this summer turned monsoon of 2025. Not a single region or province has been spared from the devastation unleashed by torerntial rains, flash floods, cloudbursts and subsequent landsliding We see news on all broadcast media about how the death count simply keeps rising and how the water inundates yet another village, but do we actually know the real impact, its extent and hondeeply entrenched these ever rising numbers of casualties are in reality?

A study from Yale Public Health reveals that the health consequences of flooding are more extensive than previously thought. Besides immediate risks like injury and infectious diseases, flooding significantly increases the risk of death from heart disease, breathing problems, and mental health issues. Accidental deaths included those from falls, fractures, open wounds and drowning; while non-accidental deaths involved heart, stomach and lung problems, infections and mental disorders.

In the wake of the recent devastating floods, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan initiated a quick comprehensive and large-scale relief operation to provide immediate aid and support to the affected communities. Massive floods especially in the monsoon season create numerous health risks including drowning, injuries, and hypothermia during the event. In the aftermath, waterborne diseases (like cholera, dysentery and typhoid) and vector-borne diseases (such as endemic disease like malaria and dengue) can spread due to contaminated water and increased mosquito breeding grounds. Communicable skin diseases spread faster than they can be treated. Seepage and water logging in previously dry construction provided a proliferative breeding ground for black mold, which thrives exponentially in damp, humid crevices and can cause serious respiratory illnesses like pneumonia. Electrical hazards rise dramatically, along with fire incidents both inside homesinvolving switches, short circuits and appliances as well as outside on transformer cables and local grid stations.

From October 7, 2023, to March 18, 2025, humanitarian aid into Gaza was reduced to only 100&ndash;125 trucks per day. On March 18, the situation worsened dramatically: a complete blockade was enforced. No aid trucks were allowed into Gaza for the next four and a half months.

Now, at the start of August, a limited reopening has occurred. With this narrow window, Alkhidmat Foundation, in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has taken immediate action.

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, Alkhidmat dispatched a humanitarian consignment carrying 100 tons of aid materials to Jordan, which will be forwarded to Gaza in cooperation with the Jordanian government. A second ship is scheduled to depart within 24 hours, bringing the total shipment to 200 tons in just two days.

These consignments contain ready to eat meals, baby milk, critical medicines, and hygiene supplies. If this pilot effort succeeds, Dr. Rehman confirmed that a new chartered plane will be sent weekly, depending on logistical permissions.

The aid may route through Jordan or Egypt&rsquo;s Al Arish port, depending on border access.

We Stand with Gaza": Alkhidmat Foundation's President Shares Urgent Update Amid Gaza's Ongoing Siege

<h2 dir="ltr">Over 1,000 Stranded in the Mountains as Disaster Unfolds</h2>

On the night of 22 July 2025, flash floods and landslides struck the high altitude region of Babusar Top, located in the Diamer District of Gilgit Baltistan. The intense rainfall caused road closures and triggered landslides that left more than 1,000 people stranded at over 13,000 feet above sea level. The NDMA issued an urgent appeal for immediate assistance as access to the region was cut off from both sides.

In response, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan &nbsp;launched a joint relief operation in coordination with NDMA and the Commandant FCNA. Given the region&rsquo;s remote terrain and critical weather conditions, this operation tested the preparedness and agility of the relief network&nbsp; and Alkhidmat delivered.

<h2 dir="ltr">Alkhidmat&rsquo;s Swift Deployment on the Ground</h2>

&nbsp;

Recognizing the urgency, Alkhidmat activated its disaster response teams and dispatched both personnel and emergency vehicles. These included:

Upon reaching stranded individuals, Alkhidmat teams prioritized life saving needs. In freezing temperatures and with no access to food, over 500 people were provided freshly cooked meals, prepared on emergency stoves brought in by volunteers. Additionally, 100 food packages containing dry rations were distributed to families awaiting evacuation or safe passage.

Medical teams accompanying the operation also treated cases of:

Babusar Top, connecting Kaghan Valley with Chilas, is one of Pakistan&rsquo;s most scenic but hazardous routes especially during monsoon season. With sharp cliffs, narrow passes, and unpredictable weather, even a small landslide can isolate hundreds. In this case, multiple road collapses and continuous rain meant that conventional rescue operations were delayed increasing the urgency of immediate ground based support.

The success of Alkhidmat&rsquo;s initial response showcases the importance of localized, mobile, and community rooted rescue networks in such inaccessible zones.

There is no day on which God sets free more souls from the fire than the day of Arafah. Just as Laylat al-Qadr is the most blessed night of the year, similarly, Arafat is the most blessed day of the year.&nbsp;

The ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah is known as the Day of Arafah. On this day, pilgrims convene at the mountain plain of Arafah to pray and supplicate to their Lord.

Allah (SWT) refers to this day in Surah al-Maidah of the holy Qur&rsquo;an. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. Quran | 5:3

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said: For pilgrims performing Hajj, the Day of &lsquo;Arafah is the most significant day and is the essence and heart of the pilgrimage.

The reward of fasting on the day of Arafah is equal to two years of fasting, and the reward of worshipping on the night of Arafah is equal to two years of wake.

<h1>Takbir on Day of Arafah</h1>

Recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq from the 9th-13th Dhul Hijjah. &nbsp;Begins after Fajr on the 9th Dhul Hijjah (Day of Arafah) and continues after every Fardh prayer until asr on the 13th Dhul Hijjah.

It is greatly suggested for every Muslim adult to recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq after prayer from the 9th-13th Dhul Hijjah. Men should recite this out loud, while women should recite this silently:

Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest and all praises are for Allah only.

It is also Sunnah to recite the Tahleel (Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhamdulillaah) frequently on the Day of &lsquo;Arafah, and on the days of Eid- 11th, 12th 13th of Dhul Hijjah.

I ask forgiveness of my sins from Allah who is my Lord and I turn towards Him.

The Almighty God asked. O Lord! What do you want? He replied. O Lord, please tell me an easy and short way to reach You. So the Almighty God said in a dream. Recite the Holy Quran frequently. &nbsp;

<h2>Praise and praise Allah</h2>

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, &ldquo;There is none who likes to be praised more than Allah does&rdquo; (Bukhārī).

Remember Him, no matter what color it is. One can also perform dhikr after your five daily prayers by reciting SubhanAllah-33 times, Alhamdulillah-33 times, and Allahu Akbar-34 times. Reciting SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and praise Him) one hundred times a day will erase sins, no matter how burdensome they are.

Ibn al-Jawzī (raḥimahullāh) writes, &ldquo;The heedless one says سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ out of habit. As for the conscious one, he is constantly thinking about the wonders of creation, or the awesome nature of the Creator, and this thinking drives him to say سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ.Thus this tasbīḥ is the fruit of these thoughts, and this is the tasbīḥ of the conscious&rdquo;.

<h1>Qurbani, its Origin and Impact</h1>

&nbsp;

As the Islamic year draws to a close, the 12th month of Dhul Hijjah brings with it one of the most sacred times in the Islamic calendar. This month is marked by two major events: Qurbani and Eid al-Adha, also known as the &quot;greater Eid.&quot; For three days, families and friends come together to celebrate, pray, exchange gifts, and feast, much like the festivities of Eid al-Fitr. While Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Adha celebrates the completion of the religious duty of Qurbani, an act of sacrifice. Though the specifics of this obligation may differ among various schools of thought, Qurbani is generally considered a mandatory duty (Fardh) for every adult Muslim with the means to fulfill it.

<h2>Where did it all begin?</h2>

<h3>The first known sacrifice:</h3>

Allah tells us in the Qur&rsquo;an the story of two sons of Prophet Adam (as), Habil and Qabil. To resolve a difference between them, Adam (as) asked them both to make a sacrifice; whoever&rsquo;s sacrifice was accepted would be the clear winner. Since Habil was a shepherd, he offered a ram to be sacrificed. Qabil tilled the land, so he offered some produce grown from the land. It is understood that Habil took care to select the best animal, one which was healthy and well-fed, whereas Qabil wasn&rsquo;t willing to offer the best of his produce. Allah accepted Habil&rsquo;s sacrifice, ascending it to heaven, and He rejected Qabil&rsquo;s sacrifice. Habil explained to his brother that Allah only accepts from those who have taqwa. Qabil had clearly not made his sacrifice with sincerity, and Allah was aware of that. However, Qabil was jealous of the way Habil had been favored over him and he killed his brother.

<h3>Ibrahim and Ismail&rsquo;s Sacrifice</h3>

&nbsp;

The Prophet Ibrahim (as) saw a dream repeatedly, where he was being asked by Allah (SWT) to sacrifice his son Ismail (as). This was a test of love and submission towards Allah. He surrendered to Allah&rsquo;s (SWT) command without hesitating and prepared himself and his son for sacrifice. It is said that Prophet Ibrahim (as) took his son to Mount Arafat to perform the sacrifice. He described his dream to his son upon reaching the mountain, to which his son obliged and echoed the same beliefs that this was an act of obedience towards Allah (SWT).&nbsp;

&lsquo;He (Ismail) said, &ldquo;O my father! Do as you are commanded. If Allah wills, you shall find me of the patient&rdquo;&rsquo;. (Qur&rsquo;an, 37:102

However, as he tied his son with a rope and was about to slaughter him, Allah (SWT) replaced Ismail (AS) with a ram. Ibrahim (as) sacrificed a white, horned ram instead of his son and, like the stoning of the pillars, we remember this sacrifice every year at Hajj. It represents the devotion of Ibrahim (as), who was ready to sacrifice his beloved son for Allah&rsquo;s sake, and the reward and blessing they received from Allah as a result of their submission.

<h3 dir="ltr">Prophetic Qurbani and its Sunnah:</h3>

&nbsp;

This is the Qurbani we still practice today every Eid al-Adha and it is important for us to not only make our intentions sincere, but also to keep in mind the rich history behind Qurbani. Our heritage should be valuable to us, as shown by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) who kept the horns of the ram Ibrahim (as) hanging in the Ka&rsquo;bah. The family of Ibrahim (as) are a particularly important part of our Muslim history, as we learn every year at Hajj when we commemorate their actions.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) even said, &lsquo;I am the son of two sacrificed people&rsquo;&nbsp;(Hakim), referring to the fact that both his father Abdullah and his ancestor Ismail (as) were almost sacrificed for Allah&rsquo;s sake, emphasizing his connection with Ismail (as).

<h2 dir="ltr">What is the impact of it all?</h2>

&nbsp;

Remembering this journey every time we do Qurbani should bring us closer to Allah; again, it is not the animal that matters, but our willingness to submit wholeheartedly to Allah.

The significance of Qurbani in Islam holds great value and is an act of devotion towards Allah (SWT). It allows Muslims to strengthen their faith and follow in the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The significance of Qurbani lies in the remembrance of Ibrahim&rsquo;s devotion to Allah (SWT). Muslims should reflect on any sacrifices they have made in Dhul Hijjah for the sake of God. However, Qurbani isn&rsquo;t only significant because of this, it is also an act of giving to others in their time of need. Traditionally, an animal that is slaughtered for Qurbani is divided into three shares: one share for the donor and their family, one share for the donor&rsquo;s friends, and one share for someone in need.&nbsp;

The story of Habil and Qabil illustrates that sincerity and purity of intention are the most important part of the Qurbani. Part of this is selecting a worthy sacrifice as Habil did and to ensure it is well-treated and sacrificed in an Islamic way. It is also about understanding that, like Zakat, Qurbani isn&rsquo;t just an annual task or tax that we should tick off a to-do list; it is a deeply spiritual activity and a chance to draw closer to Allah.

Qurbani is not simply the slaughtering of an animal and the distribution of its meat, and it is more than a commemorative ritual. Through Qurbani, we reaffirm what we sometimes forget in the hustle and bustle of everyday life &ndash; that we completely submit to Allah, and we are willing to sacrifice whatever is asked of us to be close to Him and gain His pleasure, just as Prophet Ibrahim (as) did so many years ago.

An element of The Prophetic Qurbani which we should definitely be keeping alive is the practice of sacrificing a second animal on behalf of those who can&rsquo;t afford it: &lsquo;The Prophet (saw) sacrificed for the one who could not sacrifice from his ummah, one who bore witness to the Oneness of Allah and [his] Prophethood&rsquo;.&nbsp;(Tabarani and Ahmad) This was a Sunnah his Sahabah also used to follow, as Anas bin Malik said, &lsquo;The Prophet (saw) used to sacrifice two rams, and I also sacrifice two rams&rsquo;. (Bukhari)

This Dhul-Hijjah, why not revive this beautiful Sunnah and give an extra Qurbani? There is wisdom in everything the Prophet (saw) did and immense reward in reviving his Sunnah. Furthermore, giving an extra Qurbani means even more families in need will benefit. In poverty-stricken communities, meat is an unaffordable luxury and so it is a joyous occasion when they can enjoy the generosity of a Prophetic Qurbani. So not only will you be doubling your reward by giving a Prophetic Qurbani, you will also be doubling your impact.

It&rsquo;s also a means of gaining empathy for those less fortunate across the world, and ensuring that they can celebrate Eid without worrying about how to feed their children. For many vulnerable communities, Eid-ul Adha is the only time they can eat meat in the whole year.&nbsp;

It can be difficult to know who needs to give Qurbani, but it&rsquo;s vital to understand to fulfil your religious obligation. The eligibility for Qurbani is very similar to the rules of Zakat. Every sane adult Muslim who possesses wealth beyond their means should carry out the act of Qurbani. Typically, if a Muslim is eligible to give Zakat, they are also expected to do Qurbani. This means that usually everyone should perform Qurbani (besides those who are exempt) and they must do so in adherence to the rules of Qurbani.

The borders are currently closed for sending aid into Gaza, but Alkhidmat Foundation is using supplies that were stored in Gaza before the borders closed. With the help of local Palestinian volunteers, Alkhidmat is distributing food and other essentials in Gaza.&nbsp;

<h2>Four-Month Supply Stored in Gaza</h2>

Before the ceasefire ended on March 18, 2025, Alkhidmat had already stored four months&#39; worth of supplies in Gaza, preparing for the risk that the borders might close again. Thanks to this, food is still being provided daily to around 3,000 Palestinian people.

Bank transfers to Palestine are still possible, so Alkhidmat is also sending money to local volunteers. They use it to buy supplies for Alkhidmat kitchens inside Gaza, where meals are prepared and distributed.&nbsp;

<h2>Relief Operations from October 2023 to Ceasefire</h2>

Since October 7, 2023, Alkhidmat Foundation has worked closely with the Government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to send aid from Pakistan to Gaza. This included cargo planes and ships, and the transportation of relief goods through Egypt and Jordan. The aid was delivered into Gaza via the Rafah Border, and thousands of Palestinian families received it. All activities were recorded and shared through Alkhidmat&rsquo;s website and social media, and were officially recognized by the Pakistani embassies in Egypt and Jordan and the Government of Pakistan as well as NDMA.

In addition to helping inside Gaza, Alkhidmat is also supporting Palestinian refugee families in Egypt through its warehouse in Cairo. Moreover, for students from Gaza who came to Pakistan to continue their education, Alkhidmat is providing housing, food, education, and other facilities.&nbsp;

<h2>Relief and Rebuild Gaza Efforts During Ceasefire</h2>

Right after October 7, 2023, Alkhidmat signed agreements with international partner organizations inside Gaza and NGOs in Egypt and Jordan to deliver food, medicines, and other aid. Thousands of tons of supplies were distributed. After the ceasefire on January 19, 2025, Alkhidmat launched a 15-billion-rupee &quot;Rebuild Gaza&quot; campaign. &quot;Rebuild Gaza&quot; included rebuilding destroyed homes, masajid, hospitals, and water projects in Gaza, and constructing a residential tower for Palestinian refugee families in Egypt, as well as supporting orphaned children. However, the &quot;Rebuild Gaza&quot; projects had to pause after the ceasefire ended on March 18, 2025.&nbsp;

Alkhidmat Foundation strongly wishes for a permanent ceasefire and lasting peace in Palestine. As soon as the borders reopen, Alkhidmat is ready to speed up the delivery of aid to Gaza. The 15th of Ramadan holds special significance for Muslims around the world, not only because it marks the midpoint of the holy month of fasting but also because it is observed as World Orphan Day.

How Islam Protects the Rights of Orphans

Being most vulnerable members of society, Islam legalized the rights of orphans from childhood to adulthood and created a complete constitution to respect and guarantee these rights. The orphan is mentioned in 22 verses of the Holy Quran.

Allah says have you seen the one who denies the (Day of) Judgment? This is the one who pushes away the orphan.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a special bond with orphans, as he himself was an orphan, and he often highlighted the virtues of caring for them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) described the best house as one where an orphan lives.

محمدعبدالشکور&nbsp; نے&nbsp; کہا کہ اسرائیلی حملوں کے نتیجے میں غزہ ملبے کا ڈھیر بن چکا ہے، جہاں لاکھوں افراد بے سروسامانی کی حالت میں کھلے آسمان تلے زندگی گزارنے پر مجبور ہیں۔ الخدمت ان متاثرین کے لیے عارضی شیلٹر، اشیائے خوردونوش، طبی سہولیات، ایمبولینس، موبائل ہیلتھ یونٹس، ادویات اور تعلیمی سہولیات فراہم کررہی ہے۔محمدعبدالشکور&nbsp; نے کہا کہ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن نےترکی میں زیرتعلیم غزہ کے 25 میڈیکل اسٹوڈنٹس کو مکمل اسکالرشپ فراہم کی جن کی تعلیم مکمل ہوچکی ہے۔ ان کی گریجویشن تقریب 25 فروری کومنعقد ہو رہی ہے، جس میں وہ میڈیکل&nbsp; کی ڈگری حاصل کریں گے اور اس کےبعد واپس غزہ جا کر اپنی قوم کی خدمت کریں گے۔ڈاکٹرسمیعہ راحیل قاضی نے بتا یا کہ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن نے 175 فلسطینی میڈیکل اسٹوڈنٹس کو پاکستان لاکراسپانسر کیا ہے، جو اس وقت راولپنڈی،اسلام آباد اور لاہور میں تعلیم حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ ان میں سے 25 طلبہ 22 فروری کو فارغ التحصیل ہو جائیں گے۔ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن ان تمام طلبہ کی واپسی کے انتظامات بھی کرے گی تاکہ وہ اپنے وطن جا کر انسانی خدمت کا مشن جاری رکھ سکیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پیکنگ ڈرائیو کے دوران ایک ہزار سے زائد رضاکاروں نے خلوص اور جذبے کے ساتھ امدادی سامان کو ترتیب دیا، جو جلد ہی غزہ کے متاثرین تک پہنچایا جائے گا۔ اس موقع پر الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن کے دیگر رہنماؤں نے بھی خطاب کیا اور عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اس نیکی کے کام میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیں۔تقریب میں شریک ایک رضاکار کا کہنا تھا کہ ہم اپنے فلسطینی بھائیوں کی تکالیف کو کم کرنے کے لیے ہر ممکن مدد فراہم کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ یہ ہمارا اخلاقی اور دینی فریضہ ہے۔پیکنگ ڈرائیو کے دوران شرکاء نے فلسطینی عوام سے یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا اور ان کی مدد کے لیے اپنی بھرپور حمایت کا یقین دلایا۔ تقریب میں بچوں نے فلسطینی بچوں کے نام خطوط بھی لکھے ، &nbsp;اختتام پر فلسطین کے مظلوم عوام کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی گئی۔

&nbsp; الخدمت اب تک 5ہزار 411بچوں کو 53کروڑ 61لاکھ روپے کی سکالرشپ فراہم کرچکی ہے۔ رواں سیشن میں 1174طلبہ وطالبات کو 9کروڑ 92لاکھ روپے کی اسکالرشپ فراہم کی گئی۔ اسکالرشپ کا میرٹ مستحق مگرذہین طلبہ وطالبا ت ہیں لیکن اس میں مذہب،مسلک،علاقے کی کوئی قیدنہیں پاکستان کے چاروں صوبوں سمیت آزادکشمیر اورگلگت بلتستان کے طلباء کوبھی سکالرشپ دی جاتی ہے۔&nbsp;

سید وقاص جعفری نے کہاکہ ا لخدمت اکیڈمک سکالرشپ فراہمی کاتمام عمل شفاف پراسس کے تحت مکمل کیا جاتاہے اور طلباء کے معیار تعلیم کو بہتر بنانے کیلئے اسکالر شپ فراہمی کے بعد پورا سال طالب علم کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ بھی لیاجاتاہے۔&nbsp;

الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن  پاکستان اور پاکستان اسلامک میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن کے اشتراک سے 7ستمبر کو ایکسپوسنٹرلاہورمیں "میڈکون 2024"کاانعقاد کیا جاےٴگا۔

متاثرین سیلاب کو ریسکیوکیا،الخدمت کی جانب سے قائم کردہ میڈیکل کیمپوں میں 1603افراد کو میڈیکل ایڈ فراہم کی گئی،اعجازاللہ خان&nbsp;645&nbsp;

ہیں۔لاہور ()الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان کے شعبہ ڈیزاسٹرمینجمنٹ کی پاکستان بھرکے بارشوں اور سیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقوں میں امدادی سرگرمیاں جاری&nbsp;مرکزی،ریجنل،اضلاع اور علاقائی سطح پر قائم ڈیزاسٹرسنٹرز میں ریسکیو اورریلیف کاامدادی سامان پہنچادیاگیا جہاں سے متاثرین کو فراہمی جاری ہے۔&nbsp; متاثرین کوتیارکھانا،فوڈ پیکج، خیمے،مچھردانیاں ودیگرامدادی سامان فراہم کیاجارہا ہے۔645افراد کو بارشوں او رسیلابی علاقوں سے ریسکیوکیا گیاجبکہ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن کی&nbsp; جانب سے قائم کردہ میڈیکل کیمپوں میں 1603متاثرین کو میڈیکل ایڈاور مفت ادویات فراہم کی گئیں۔

مرکزی نائب صدروچئیرمین الخدمت ڈیزاسٹرمینجمنٹ اعجازاللہ خان کی زیرصدارت آن لائن اجلاس میں جاری امدادی سرگرمیوں کاجائزہ لے کر آئندہ کے لئے پلاننگ کی گئی۔اعجازاللہ خان نے کہاکہ قدرتی آفت سے نمٹنے کیلئے تمام وسائل اور صلاحیتیں بروئے کارلائیں گے۔ الخدمت کے رضاکارہمار ا سرمایہ ہیں جو اپنی جان کی پروانہ کرتے ہوئے مصیبت میں گھرے انسانوں کی بلاتفریق مددکرتے ہیں۔ قبل ازیں شعبہ ڈیزاسٹرمینجمنٹ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان نے اقوام متحدہ کے ادارے اوسی ایچ اے (اوچا)کے اشتراک سے ڈی ایم سی راولپنڈی میں رضاکاروں کی دو &nbsp;روزہ ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ ٹریننگ ورکشاپ کا انعقاد کیا۔

کوارڈینیشن یونٹ اوچا کی سربراہ م فریدہ کاسویو اور نیشنل ڈائریکٹر الخدمت ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ فضل محمود ٹریننگ کے اختتامی سیشن میں شریک ہوئے اور شریک رضاکاروں کے جذبے کوسراہا۔فضل محمود نے اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہاکہ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں اور قدرتی آفات سے نمٹنے کیلئے پوری طرح پرعز م ہے حالیہ بارشوں اور سیلاب کے پیش نظرپاکستان بھرمیں مرکزی،ریجنل اور اضلاع میں ٹیمیں مکمل الرٹ اورسیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقوں میں امدادی سرگرمیاں جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔

الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن اب تک 3ہزار رضاکاروں کی ٹریننگ مکمل کرواچکی ہے،10ہزار رضاکاروں کو ڈیزاسٹرسے نمٹنے کی ٹریننگ کروائیں گے۔انھوں نے کہاکہ ڈی ایم سی راولپنڈی،لاہور،پشاور،کوئٹہ،کراچی،اور گلگت بلتستان میں ا س سیریزکی 6ٹریننگ ورکشاپس کاانعقاد کررہے ہیں جن میں ریجنل اوراضلاع سے رضاکارشریک ہوں گے۔ پاکستان میں انفارمیشن مینجمنٹ یونٹ اوچا کے سربراہ نعمان طاہر نے رضاکاروں کی ٹریننگ کے مختلف سیشن کروائے،دوسرے دن کی عملی مشق میں شرکاء کو مختلف گروپس تشکیل دے کر آفات سے بچاؤں کے عملی اقدامات کی تربیت دی گئی۔

لاہور (&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; ) الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان کے شعبہ&nbsp; ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ&nbsp; کے تحت بلوچستان، خیبر پختونخوا ،گلگت بلتستان،سندھ کے بارشوں&nbsp;اور سیلاب متاثرین کیلئے امدادی سرگرمیاں جاری ہیں۔ ملک کے مختلف حصوں میں جاری بارشوں، سیلابی صورتحال اورالخدمت کی&nbsp; ریلیف سرگرمیوں کے حوالے سے جائزہ اجلاس&nbsp; منعقد ہوا ، جس میں الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن کے نائب صدر اور چیئرمین ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ اعجاز اللہ خان نے&nbsp; سنٹرل بورڈ آف مینجمنٹ کو بریف کرتے ہوئے&nbsp; بتایا کہ بارشوں کے بعد سیلابی صورتحال پیداہونے کے بعد الخدمت کے رضاکاروں نے پانی میں&nbsp; پھنسے شہریوں کو ریسکیو کیا&nbsp; اورمحفوظ مقامات تک&nbsp; پہنچایا&nbsp; ۔اِس کے ساتھ ساتھ متاثرہ علاقوں میں تیار&nbsp;&nbsp; شدہ&nbsp; کھانا، فوڈ پیکج،ٹینٹ،ترپال شیٹ ودیگرامدادی سامان&nbsp; کی&nbsp;&nbsp; فراہمی کا سلسلہ جاری ہے ۔

متاثرین کو وبائی امراض سے بچانے اور طبی سہولیات کی فراہمی کے لیے&nbsp; میڈیکل کیمپ&nbsp; بھی لگائے جا&nbsp; چکے ہیں&nbsp; اور الخدمت موبائل ہیلتھ یونٹس کو بھی متحرک کر دیا گیا&nbsp; ہے۔ اعجازاللہ خان نے کہاکہ الخدمت کے رضاکاروں&nbsp; نے چترال کے علاقوں بمبوریت،گولیان ،موری بالا،گلگت بلتستان کے علاقے استور،بلوچستان کے علاقے زیارت ،قلعہ سیف اللہ&nbsp; اور سندھ کے متاثرہ علاقے سکرنڈمیں&nbsp; اب&nbsp; تک 404&nbsp; افراد کو ریسکیو کیا&nbsp; ہے

ڈاکٹر حفیظ الرحمن نے اِس موقع پر کہا کہ پاکستان بھرکے اضلاع میں بارشوں او ر ممکنہ سیلاب کے پیش نظرمرکزی،ریجنل اور علاقائی سطح پر فلڈ ایمرجنسی سنٹرز کو ہنگامی صورتحال سے نمنٹے کیلئے الرٹ رکھاگیاہے۔الخدمت ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ کی ٹیمیں نیشنل ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ اتھارٹی سمیت دیگر اداروں سے رابطے میں ہیں اور&nbsp; دکھی انسانیت کی خدمت کے لیے ہمہ وقت کوشاں&nbsp; ہیں۔

لاہور ( &nbsp;) الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن پاکستان کے صدر ڈاکٹرحفیظ الرحمنٰ نے کیپ ٹاؤن جنوبی افریقہ &nbsp;میں &nbsp;ڈاکٹرزکی بین الاقوامی تنظیم فیڈریشن آف اسلامک میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن(فیما) &nbsp;کے کنونشن میں شرکت کی۔کنونشن میں &nbsp;لخدمت ہیلتھ فاؤنڈیشن کے چیئرمین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر زاہد لطیف،جنرل &nbsp;سیکرٹری ڈاکٹر عبد الرحمنٰ &nbsp;اور ممبر ایڈوائزری بورڈ ڈاکٹر انتظار حسین &nbsp;بٹ &nbsp;نے بھی شرکت کی ۔

&nbsp;ڈاکٹرحفیظ الرحمن نےدنیابھر سےکنونشن میں شریک مسلم آرگنائزیشنزکے نمائندوں کوغزہ میں فلسطینی خاندانوں کودرپیش چیلنجزاورالخدمت فاؤنڈیشن کی جاری سرگرمیوں کےبارےمیں بتاتے ہوئے کہا کہ الخدمت فاؤنڈیشن غزہ کے بہن بھائیوں کے لیے ڈھائی ارب روپے کی لاگت سے 2080 ٹن امدادی سامان پہنچا چکا ہے۔ پکے پکائے کھانے کی فراہمی، فوڈ پیکج، خیموں، ادویات ، کپڑوں،فلسطینی طلبہ اور یتامیٰ کی معاونت کے ساتھ ساتھ فیلڈ ہسپتال کی تیاری مکمل ہے۔جبکہ بحالی مکمل پلاننگ بھی کی جاچکی ہے، جس میں رہائشی بلڈنگ کے ساتھ ساتھ 30 سولر پاورڈواٹر فلٹریشن پلانٹ اورجدید &nbsp;طبی آلات کی فراہمی شامل ہے۔

ڈاکٹر حفیظ الرحمن نے کہا کہ غزہ اس وقت تاریخ کے مشکل ترین دور سے گزر رہا ہے،این جی اوز جو کردار ادا کر سکتی ہیں، کر رہی ہیں لیکن بڑے ریلیف آپریشن &nbsp;کے لیے جنگ بندی اور بڑے ریلیف اداروں کے تعاون کے بغیر ممکن نہیں۔
