What does "vulnerable" mean?

Reaching the Most Vulnerable

What does "vulnerable" mean? A vulnerable person is someone in need of special care, support, or protection due to age, disability, or risk of abuse or neglect. Vulnerable people are often defenseless, unprotected, and susceptible. Many spend their lives in slums and dingy areas, struggling to meet even the most basic necessities of life such as food, clothing, shelter, and clean water. They live in despair with a seemingly hopeless future, uncertain whether they'll even get a single meal in a day.

Contrast this with individuals like us, pursuing our wants and desires, chasing a lifestyle filled with excess and luxury. While we strive to uplift our social status, those vulnerable people are barely able to meet their basic needs. Isn't it our duty to help these underprivileged families mitigate their suffering? Shouldn't we bolster the spirits of the destitute by fulfilling their basic needs? Why can't we sacrifice a part of our wealth to decrease someone's miseries?

In this time of hyperinflation, vulnerable families are facing hunger. Many go to bed starving without access to three meals a day - a basic right for everyone. Think of the orphans, widows, unemployed, and underprivileged families who yearn for a meal, clean drinking water, or shelter. There are hundreds of such people around us, yet we often lack empathy.

As a community, we must work together to alleviate the suffering of these vulnerable people. They too have a right to access basic life necessities. This Eid Ul Azha, we have the opportunity to make a significant impact in their lives by donating a share of our Qurbani with Alkhidmat Organization Pakistan. Alkhidmat will ensure that the meat reaches those most in need.

Baqra Eid symbolizes compassion and sacrifice. This Eid, we can ease the sufferings of the vulnerable, bringing joy and hope to their lives. We can be a beacon in their darkness. Help Alkhidmat this Eid Ul Azha in providing meals to the needy. Donate as much as you can from your Qurbani share. Even a small effort can alleviate the starvation of these struggling families.

Let's be the change, let's be a ray of hope in someone's life, and let's help Alkhidmat reach its target of serving meals to the maximum number of needy families.
