The Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “The one who takes cares of an orphan and I will be together in Jannah like this” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. (Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhari: 5659)
The blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, in which the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) came into this world, has started and every Muslim is paying tributes to the last prophet of Allah. While this is a time to commemorate this happiest occasion, the best way to celebrate is practically follow his teachings such as sponsoring an orphan child. The Prophet (SAW) was himself an orphan and Allah narrated it in the Holy Quran like this: “Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge?” (93:6)
Natural calamities and acts of terrorism have left an immense number of children as orphans around the world and only Pakistan is home to more than 4.2 million orphan children. These helpless children need your support to lead a good life in the society, because most of them are deprived of adequate nutrition, education, healthcare and other basic facilities.
