Position Summary

The Manager – Bano Qabil Incubation & Innovation Hub shall be responsible for planning, developing, managing, and expanding the Incubation & Innovation Hub at BQ Institute Lahore. The incumbent will promote innovation, entrepreneurship, freelancing, and startup development among Bano Qabil students and graduates by creating an enabling ecosystem that connects academia, industry, investors, and technology partners.

The Manager will lead incubation programs, innovation challenges, hackathons, startup mentoring, business development initiatives, and strategic partnerships while supporting the broader objectives of Bano Qabil Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Hub Development
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Incubation & Innovation Hub.
• Establish the Hub as a leading platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development.
• Design policies, operational guidelines, and standard operating procedures for the Hub.
• Develop annual work plans, budgets, and performance targets.
• Recommend new initiatives to strengthen the innovation ecosystem.

Startup Incubation & Entrepreneurship

• Design and manage startup incubation and acceleration programs.
• Identify and support innovative business ideas with commercial potential.
• Facilitate business model development and startup validation.
• Guide startups on legal registration, governance, financial planning, and business development.
• Monitor the progress of incubated startups and provide continuous support.

Innovation Programs

• Organize innovation challenges and idea competitions.
• Conduct hackathons, startup boot camps, and innovation festivals.
• Promote design thinking and problem-solving methodologies.
• Encourage development of technology-based and social innovation solutions.
• Foster a culture of creativity and innovation among students.

Industry Linkages & Partnerships

• Develop partnerships with technology companies, universities, investors, venture capital firms, accelerators, and innovation organizations.

• Coordinate internship and industry engagement opportunities.
• Facilitate collaboration with national and international innovation networks.
• Mobilize sponsorships and strategic partnerships for Hub activities.

Investment & Resource Mobilization

• Facilitate investor engagement and startup pitching opportunities.
• Organize Demo Days and investor networking events.
• Support startups in preparing investment proposals and pitch decks.
• Identify funding opportunities through grants, donors, and corporate partners.

Innovation Infrastructure Management

• Oversee the effective utilization of co-working spaces, meeting rooms, innovation labs, and mentoring facilities.
• Ensure proper maintenance and efficient use of Hub resources.
• Recommend improvements to infrastructure and equipment.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Hub.
• Monitor the performance of incubation programs and startups.
• Maintain records and databases of startups and innovation projects.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
• Document success stories and impact assessments.

Collaboration with Bano Qabil Program

• Support entrepreneurship initiatives across Bano Qabil centers nationwide.
• Coordinate innovation-related activities with academic teams.
• Develop innovation and entrepreneurship modules for students.
• Contribute to national Bano Qabil events, competitions, and technology exhibitions.

Qualification Requirements

Education:

• Master's degree (16 years of education) in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Sciences, Economics or any other relevant discipline
• Professional certifications in entrepreneurship, project management, innovation management, startup development, or business incubation will be an added advantage.

Experience & Age

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in innovation, entrepreneurship and startup incubation.
• Experience working with universities, incubation centers, accelerators, technology companies, or development organizations will be preferred.
• Preferably between 25 and 40 years
