Unfortunately, only four government hospitals, a few NGOs and around 30 private hospitals have the facility for this test in the country’s largest city. Due to overcrowding in government hospitals and exorbitant fees charged by private hospitals, access to MRI tests has become almost impossible for the common man. In view of the seriousness of this problem, Aghosh USA has launched a grand project to provide an MRI test facility in Karachi in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. The 1.6 million USD project will allow residents of not only Karachi but also interior Sindh and Balochistan to undergo a range of clinical and radiological tests, including MRI. The service will be available at a very reasonable price.
