<big>شہناز بی بی جنوبی پنجاب کے ایک دور دراز گاؤں میں رہتی تھیں، جہاں صاف پانی کا کوئی ذریعہ موجود نہ تھا۔ روزانہ وہ اپنے بچوں کے ساتھ 3 کلومیٹر پیدل چل کر پانی لانے جاتیں &mdash; وہ پانی جو اکثر آلودہ ہوتا اور جس سے ان کے بچے بیمار پڑ جاتے۔</big>

Give Water This Muharram : Sadaqah Jariya

The Alkhidmat Foundation completed a wide-reaching Qurbani campaign across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the three days of Eid al-Adha, delivering sacrificial meat and festive cheer to thousands of underserved families, children, prisoners, and people with special needs.

Volunteers from Alkhidmat Foundation distributed meat to orphaned children, widows, street children, prisoners, Afghan refugees, the elderly, and laborers across the province. The campaign extended from Peshawar to remote districts such as Kohat, Swabi, and Charsadda. The meat was also delivered to people living in slums and those battling poverty in silence.

In Peshawar and Charsadda, Alkhidmat hosted special events at the Thalassemia Centers, where patients received Eid gifts and meat. Children smiled as volunteers handed out meals and gifts. &ldquo;Alkhidmat is committed to serving children fighting thalassemia, and is working towards establishing a bone marrow transplant center,&rdquo; said Khalid Waqas, the foundation&rsquo;s provincial president.

Meanwhile, in Peshawar Central Jail and other prisons in the province, meat was distributed among inmates. Volunteers said they wanted prisoners to feel remembered during Eid, a time of togetherness and celebration.

At Angel Home Peshawar, children with physical and mental disabilities enjoyed a joyous celebration organized by Alkhidmat. Two goats were sacrificed, and the meat was served as a festive meal. &ldquo;Their smiles were priceless,&rdquo; said Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, General Secretary of the foundation&rsquo;s provincial chapter. &ldquo;This is the real meaning of Eid.&rdquo;

The foundation also hosted a special gathering for orphaned children under the Orphan Care program. Guests included provincial leaders, media personalities, and heads of civil society organizations. Together with the children, they cooked and shared the Qurbani meal. Each child received Eidi and a portion of meat. &ldquo;We saw joy in their eyes. Alkhidmat has given these children a reason to celebrate,&rdquo; said one attendee.

In Swabi, meat was delivered to hospital patients and Afghan refugee families. In Kohat, laborers, street vendors, and other daily-wage earners received meat packages. Across the province, volunteers carried meat to doorsteps in slum areas and rural villages.

The campaign also reached out to transgender individuals, artists, and others from marginalized communities.

Speaking on the effort, Alkhidmat&rsquo;s leadership extended deep gratitude to all donors and volunteers in Pakistan and abroad who made the campaign possible. &ldquo;This Eid, we did not just offer sacrifices &mdash; we offered dignity, warmth, and hope,&rdquo; said Khalid Waqas.

The distribution campaign lasted all three days of Eid and concluded with thousands of families receiving meat across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Alkhidmat Foundation Brought Eid Joy to Thousands Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

There is no day on which God sets free more souls from the fire than the day of Arafah. Just as Laylat al-Qadr is the most blessed night of the year, similarly, Arafat is the most blessed day of the year.&nbsp;

The ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah is known as the Day of Arafah. On this day, pilgrims convene at the mountain plain of Arafah to pray and supplicate to their Lord.

As the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: &ldquo;Hajj is Arafah,&rdquo; (Abu Dawud). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said: For pilgrims performing Hajj, the Day of &lsquo;Arafah is the most significant day and is the essence and heart of the pilgrimage.

<h1>Significance of Day of Arafah in Quran and Ahadith</h1>

The biggest day of the entire year and the biggest day of Hajj, Arafah Day, &nbsp;which combines acts of worship unlike any other day.

Allah (SWT) refers to this day in Surah al-Maidah of the holy Qur&rsquo;an. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. Quran | 5:3

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said: For pilgrims performing Hajj, the Day of &lsquo;Arafah is the most significant day and is the essence and heart of the pilgrimage.

<h1>Fasting on the Day of Arafah</h1>

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

&quot;Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.&quot;

&mdash; [Sahih Muslim] 

Fasting is very virtuous act on day of arafah for non-pilgrim

Fasting is very virtuous act on day of arafah if you are not performing Hajj. Fasting on day of arafah is not mandatory, but a great opportunity for spiritual benefit for non-pilgrims.

The reward of fasting on the day of Arafah is equal to two years of fasting, and the reward of worshipping on the night of Arafah is equal to two years of wake.

<h1>Takbir on Day of Arafah</h1>

Recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq from the 9th-13th Dhul Hijjah. &nbsp;Begins after Fajr on the 9th Dhul Hijjah (Day of Arafah) and continues after every Fardh prayer until asr on the 13th Dhul Hijjah.

It is greatly suggested for every Muslim adult to recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq after prayer from the 9th-13th Dhul Hijjah. Men should recite this out loud, while women should recite this silently:

Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest and all praises are for Allah only.

<h1>Astaghfaar on day of Arafah</h1>

After praying Fajr Salah in Mina, pilgrims performing Hajj head to the plains of Arafat. They recite istaghfar (asking for forgiveness) and make earnest dua. Upon reaching Mount Arafat, pilgrims observe shortened Dhuhr and Asr prayers 2 rakat instead of 4.&nbsp;

<h2>Duas for Arafah Day</h2>

لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ&rlm;

There is no God Allah, alone, He has no partner, His is the kingdom, and for Him is all praise, and in His hand is all that is good, and He has power over all things. &nbsp;

اللہ اکبر، اللہ اکبر، لا الہ الا اللہ، اللہ اکبر، و للہ الحمد۔&nbsp;

It is also Sunnah to recite the Tahleel (Laa ilaaha il-lal-laah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhamdulillaah) frequently on the Day of &lsquo;Arafah, and on the days of Eid- 11th, 12th 13th of Dhul Hijjah.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ 
ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ 
لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ 
وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ

Say, &ldquo;He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.&rdquo;

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبي مِنْ كُلِ ذَنبٍ وَأتُوبُ إلَيهِ

I ask forgiveness of my sins from Allah who is my Lord and I turn towards Him.

&nbsp;&laquo;استغفر الله الذی لا اله الا هوال حی القیوم و اطوب الیحی&nbsp;

I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Almighty, Whom there is no worthy except him, the Living, the Eternal, and I repent unto Him

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ&nbsp;

&nbsp;&ldquo;There is none worthy of worship except God (Allah) and Muhammad is the messenger of God.&rdquo;

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: &lsquo;urge your dying ones to say La ilaha illallah.&rdquo; Sunan Ibn Majah 1444

Narrated Ibn &lsquo;Umar: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

&ldquo;Islam is based upon five: the testimony of La Ilaha Illallah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of the Salat, giving the Zakat, fasting (the month of) Ramadan, and performing Hajj to the House.&rdquo; Jami At-Tirmidhi 2609

لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنتَ سُبحٰنَکَ اِنِّی کُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِینَ&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp; &ldquo;There is no god but You (O My Lord!). Glory be to You! Verily, I have been of the wrongdoers.&quot;

Let us remember the importance of compassion, justice and unity from the last farewell sermon of Holy Prophet PBUH.

Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: &ldquo;When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits him, or a righteous child who prays for him.&rdquo; (Muslim)

<h1>Sunnahs to follow on Ten Nights of Dhul Hijjah</h1>

He (PBUH) used to stay awake especially during the first ten nights of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, and even kept his servants awake during those nights in prayer. It is important to remember here that when we mention the acts of worship during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, we mean the first nine days and ten nights.

He (PBUH) said: Hold on tight to the night prayer. Indeed it is the habit of the righteous who came before you.

Many people find their prayers answered in Tahajjud making it a powerful way to seek divine assistance. Nawafil should be performed. Because of its great spiritual advantages and the close relationship it cultivates with Allah SWT, this act of devotion has a special position in Islamic practice.

Thus, whoever is unable to perform ḥajj can still perform acts of worship in these 10 days, the reward of which is greater than the reward of jihād; and the reward of jihad is greater than the reward of ḥajj.&rdquo; &ndash; Ibn Rajab (raḥimahullāh).

The excellence of reciting the Holy Quran can be gauged from the fact that Hazrat Imam Malik, who was an extremely pious and righteous man and a great jurist and hadith scholar of his time, saw Allah Almighty in a dream one night. The Almighty God asked. O Lord! What do you want? He replied. O Lord, please tell me an easy and short way to reach You. So the Almighty God said in a dream. Recite the Holy Quran frequently. &nbsp;

<h2>Praise and praise Allah</h2>

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, &ldquo;There is none who likes to be praised more than Allah does&rdquo; (Bukhārī).

Remember Him, no matter what color it is. One can also perform dhikr after your five daily prayers by reciting SubhanAllah-33 times, Alhamdulillah-33 times, and Allahu Akbar-34 times. Reciting SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and praise Him) one hundred times a day will erase sins, no matter how burdensome they are.

Ibn al-Jawzī (raḥimahullāh) writes, &ldquo;The heedless one says سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ out of habit. As for the conscious one, he is constantly thinking about the wonders of creation, or the awesome nature of the Creator, and this thinking drives him to say سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ.Thus this tasbīḥ is the fruit of these thoughts, and this is the tasbīḥ of the conscious&rdquo;.

<h2>Sadaqah ( Charity)</h2>

Muhammad (saw) said, &lsquo;When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah, knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him.&rsquo; [Muslim]

Hasan al-Basri (rh) said, &lsquo;Going to fulfil the need of your brother is better for you than performing Hajj after Hajj.&rsquo;
