Alkhidmat Donor Conference Held in Kamalia

Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched its Ramadan relief campaign across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, distributing food packages and organizing daily iftar meals for low-income families, laborers and travelers throughout the province.

The campaign includes the distribution of ration packs containing flour, rice, cooking oil, and other food items to poor and deserving families.

In addition, volunteers have set up roadside iftar points on major highways and in busy markets, providing dates, water and cooked meals to commuters and workers unable to reach home before sunset. Large &ldquo;Iftar Dastarkhwan&rdquo; gatherings are also being arranged in several districts, where hundreds of people break their fast collectively each evening.

As part of its Ramadan activities, the organization is continuing its &ldquo;Sasti Roti&rdquo; drive, offering subsidized bread to help families manage food expenses during the fasting month.&nbsp;The campaign is being carried out across multiple districts, including Peshawar, Charsadda, Kohat, DI Khan, Mardan, and other districts. 
 
Similarly, Iftar events are held for orphaned children at Alkhidmat Aghosh Homes, where people from different walks of life join them for Iftar.

Alkhidmat Ramadan Relief Drive

Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Central &amp; South organized a mass wedding ceremony for 15 orphan and deserving girls in Bannu, providing each with essential household items and hosting a walima (feast) reception as part of its welfare program.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaqat Baloch, Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ehsanullah Waqas, President Alkhidmat KP C&amp;S Khalid Waqas, and General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami KP South Zahoor Ahmad Khattak. Professor Muhammad Ibrahim, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami KP South, solemnized the marriages.

Addressing the gathering, Liaqat Baloch said collective weddings help reduce the financial burden on poor families in the prevalent economic conditions. Syed Ehsanullah Waqas stated that Alkhidmat aims to facilitate marriages for orphan and deserving girls with dignity. Khalid Waqas said such welfare initiatives would continue across the province, while Zahoor Ahmad Khattak noted that the program supports families facing financial hardship.

The newly married couples thanked Alkhidmat Foundation, saying the support made their marriages possible despite rising costs. Local administration officials, including the Assistant Commissioner Bannu, also attended the event and appreciated Alkhidmat&rsquo;s welfare efforts.

As winter conditions intensified,&nbsp;families across Tirah Valley&nbsp;began facing severe winter hardship, including many who were&nbsp;stranded in vehicles for extended periods due to heavy snowfall and blocked roads. Prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures left households with limited access to food, warmth, and medical assistance

Tirah Valley in Crisis: Battling Extreme Cold

Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a seminar held at Islamia College University Peshawar, where the President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr Hafeez ur Rehman, highlighted the role of persons with disabilities in national development.

He said that persons with disabilities are valuable members of society who continue to turn their limitations into strength. He noted that Alkhidmat has so far distributed more than 52 thousand wheelchairs nationwide, worth 2.5 billion rupees, as part of its long term rehabilitation efforts.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event held in the historic Roos Keppel Hall, Dr Hafeez ur Rehman said Alkhidmat is committed to supporting persons with disabilities through practical and sustainable initiatives. He announced that on this day, Alkhidmat will hold seminars in 23 cities and awareness walks in 45 cities. He added that one thousand wheelchairs will be distributed free of cost across the country.

He said Alkhidmat has extended its humanitarian work beyond Pakistan as well. So far, thirty chartered planes and four cargo ships have delivered more than 55 hundred tons of relief goods to the people of Gaza, valued at over eight and a half billion rupees. He noted that over six thousand people in Gaza have lost their limbs due to the ongoing crisis. If permitted, Alkhidmat intends to establish a facility for artificial limb production near the Gaza or Egypt border in the future.

The seminar was presided over by Vice Chancellor of Islamia College University, Professor Dr Ahmed ur Rehman. President Alkhidmat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Waqas, PEDO CEO Shahabuddin, Alkhidmat Provincial Vice President Arbab Abdul Haseeb, Alkhidmat Women Trust President Nighat Seema and representatives of various organisations also attended the event.

During the ceremony, Dr Hafeez ur Rehman distributed free wheelchairs to 35 persons with disabilities.
