We are entering into the sacred days of Dhul Haj, that mark the blessed days of Hajj, and Eid ul Azha on the tenth day. These days are the testament to our dedication and understanding of the role we should be playing in maximizing our efforts to gain ultimate advantages and blessings through our deeds, prayers, and charity. Not to mention, these days must not be wasted in commercialisation of our animals, hustle and bustle, and celebrations. Rather, during these days Allah Taalah, provides us with a chance to to seek His forgiveness, closeness, and blessings.
Islam has taught us through examples of our Holy Prophet P.B.U.H. regarding what to do and what not to do. All of us should prioritize, if not compulsory, fasting during these days. We all should give charity within our best capacity to maximise our devotion for the cause of Allah. Charity not only cleanse our earnings but also it is one of the best task to do to seek forgiveness and protection. Furthermore, it should be kept it mind that one of the most important things to do is to recite Takbeer after every Farz Namaz. We should be connecting with Allah and we should praying for whole of Muslim Ummah during these blessed days of Hajj. Elders should teach their children the history and rewards of these days in the light of Islam. We should take maximum of our time from our tough routines to recite Holy Quran, specifically after each prayer or whenever its feasible for any person.
The reward of all the deeds accomplished with pure intentions is immense and beautiful.
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
Hadith - Sahih al-Bukhari
These are the ten days of Hajj where Muslims intend to fulfil their responsibility towards Allah, by completing the rites and rituals of Hajj. The day of Arafah is the day when Allah completed Islam for whole of His creation.
Allah says in the Holy Quran:
“Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed upon you My blessing and I have chosen for you Islam as [your] religion” (Surah Al-Maida 5:3)
We Muslims are preparing ourselves for Eid e Qurban. It is necessary to take part in charity and donations especially during the ten days of Dhul Hijjah when the reward increases multi-folds and we ask for forgiveness from Allah Taa’lah. It is the best time of the year to give sadaqah to the poor and the needy and include them in blessings and joy of Eid. We can rectify our good and bad deeds and gain what best we can from these days. Our Muslims brothers and sisters are suffering in poverty and are in crisis not only around us but also all around the world. It is our duty to send and participate in the charity to our Muslims brothers and sisters in Syria, Iran, Rohingya, and Palestine. Alkhidmat Pakistan has options of online donations in which we can take part in.
As Muhammad P.B.U.H. says:
“There is no day on which Allah frees people from the Fire more so than on the day of ‘Arafah.” (Sahih Muslim
