Alkhidmat:Beacon of Light in Flood Havoc

 

“ Wordless are the eyes of the one

The eyes of the one you saved”

Mournfully true is the fact that Monsoon floods in Pakistan have wreaked havoc on the livelihood of millions of people in KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, South Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan.

Over 33 million people from 80 calamity-hit districts have been crushed mercilessly by the devastating floods that are caused by heavy monsoon rains.

Amidst such horrible misfortune in Pakistan, a gleaming beam of light has been shown to the flood-stricken families  by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.

Over 55, 805 selfless Alkhidmat volunteers became an obstacle in the roaring layers of water. They worked round the clock and successfully rescued nearly 55,720 individuals that were still stuck in the middle of nowhere. These people, including those who had ended up losing their entire families, were given transport to safe locations under the supervision of the Alkhidmat team.

Alkhidmat volunteers managed the delicate situation at the affected areas by carrying people (trapped in the desolate areas) on bed frames on an emergency basis and shifting them to safety points.

Trucks and Vehicles stuck at the sites of natural disaster were taken out and people inside them were rescued, by the Grace of Allah.

To ensure the health safety of the rescued people, Alkhidmat Foundation set up medical camps and provided immediate and timely medical aids. More than 246,977 patients were given on spot treatment.

“And whoever saves one –it is as if he had saved mankind entirely”.

To do such a priceless act of sacrifice, Alkhidmat volunteers are on the righteous track of gaining eternal warmth in the hearts of millions of victims of Floods-2022.
