Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship

Even though Pakistan is home to incredibly talented youngsters, opportunities to get higher education still remains an unfulfilled dream for the majority of them. The principal cause for this dilemma is that most of the Pakistanis due to the financial problems can not afford quality higher education that can transform them into qualified professionals and enable them to be assets for the country.

How Are We Helping

For the last three decades, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has been endeavoring to provide necessary financial support to talented and deserving students so that they are able to pursue their studies in their favorite fields such as engineering, computer science, medical, and other professions. For this purpose, AlKhidmat Foundation has launched a comprehensive scholarship program titled “Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship Scheme”.

Alkhidmat Foundation sorts out talented and deserving male and female students from all over Pakistan including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and grants them financial aid in order to complete their respective degree programs. The process is extremely fair and equitable, yet competitive. A great number of students have already availed of this scholarship scheme and are studying in the top universities and colleges across the country. In the ongoing year, as many as 881 students across Pakistan have been awarded the scholarships.

Success never comes overnight. Hardworking, determination and passion to go ahead are some of the qualities that every aspirant has to adopt. This is what happened to Muhammad Zubair, a resident of Lala Movi, Muhalla of Azamgar. Some 20 years ago today, Zubair dreamed of becoming a medical doctor, but the financial circumstances of the family didn’t allow him to pursue his dream.

His two brothers and a sister were also studying in a school, so household expenditures became quite tough. He heard about Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship and gave the application. After the scholarship was granted, he took admission in FSc in the Government Degree College Kharian Cantt and passed the examination securing 706 marks out of 1100. Since the grade was not good to entitle him for the admission to a medical college, Zubair decided to reappear in the exam and improve the graded. He sat in the exam again next year and achieved 766 marks. Now, he was eligible for entry to a medical college.

Muhammad Zubair’s MBBS journey ended in December 2006. A medical degree, which was a dream, had now become a reality. After completing the house job, Zubair started his regular life as a doctor at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi.
