During the holy month of Ramadan, Alkhidmat foundation intensified its relief activities by delivering Iftar meals to Palestinian families, ensuring they had food to break their fast.

Alkhidmat Foundation has actively participated in providing hot meals to Palestinian families, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Their initiatives include distributing Iftar meals during Ramadan and providing nutritious hot meals to displaced and affected families. Alkhidmat aims to distribute around 3300 Ton total aid and medical supplies worth 5.5 billion to Gaza through its emergency relief. Beyond emergency relief, Alkhidmat has initiated projects like clean water to ensure safe drinking water access.

Foundation also organized packing drives for food and relief aid, engaging volunteers in Lahore to support displaced Palestinian families. Volunteers played a crucial role in this initiative, distributing thousands of hot meals to those in need.

Food packs

According to data, 34’508 food packs’ 7’442 iftar meals, 171’398 hot meals, 3’867 vegetable baskets and 522’000 jerry cans, 20892 rice packs 14’090 flour bags, 59512 other food items, 225’066 canned food have been distributed in Gaza in the month of February.

 

Food Pack Essentials in Ramadan

Food packs contains essentials like rice, oil, lentils, dates, and canned goods. This food pack for Turkiya and Syria amounts to PKR 10’000.

Iftar Meals

Many organizations donated by global organizations like Alkhidmat Pakistan set up iftar tables where meals are prepared and distributed to people, especially those living in refugee camps or low-income areas. Meals consist of simple but filling dishes such as soup, rice, bread, and vegetables, meat and sweets as part of the meal.

Hot Meals

As families in Gaza fast, many have nothing to break their fast with. Alkhidmat is serving hot, nourishing meals, bringing comfort in hardship.

 

Water for Sahur & Iftar in Gaza

 Alkhidmat collaborates with international partners, including Gazze Destek, Onsur, Hayrat, IHH, and Cansuyu, to ensure effective aid delivery in Gaza. This collaboration can include arranging for shipments of goods, financial support, and joint relief missions during Ramadan.

Beyond immediate meal distribution, Alkhidmat launched the "Rebuild Gaza" campaign, a PKR 15 billion initiative aimed at reconstructing homes, schools, mosques, and vital infrastructure in Gaza. This comprehensive effort seeks to restore hope and improve living conditions for affected communities.
