Devastating floods have affected over  30 million people in Pakistan, this is recorded as the worst flood in the history of the country. Heavy rains, dam failures, and overflowing rivers have caused the loss of thousands of lives and millions of people have become homeless.

Up till now, 1638 people have lost their lives due to floods and above 1,120,261 livestock have perished.

As Muslims, we believe that this is a test of our faith as a nation and an eye opener for all of us. This is the moment that irrespective of political differences we must gather to save lives, prevent further loss and step in to rebuild the cities and villages.

No matter what circumstances Pakistan has faced throughout its history, the people of Pakistan have always been very helpful and generous whether it was an earthquake, drought, flood, heatwave, or pandemic;Pakistanis never sit back and relax. During this calamity, we have seen thousands of individuals and organizations, helping people and are trying to save precious lives.

Alkhidmat Foundation is  leading on the frontline, among the top organizations working for the welfare of people during the flood. And thousands of Alkhidmat volunteers are working for the relief of people throughout the country.

Alkhidmat has always been on the front line during every emergency and is repeating the same amidst the recent flood crisis.in addition, Its routine Welfare programs are providing parallel humanitarian assistance in terms of shelter, food, clean water, education, and support to orphans (especially) and other needy people in general.

As of now, emergency fund raising camps have been established all over the country to gather funds, clothes, sheets, food items, medicines, and other necessities. All over the country Alkhidmat Volunteers are gathering In kind donations like dry food packages, clothes, shoes, tents, and any other item that may be required by the flood affected

This time, not only members of Alkhidmat are involved but also students from universities, colleges, housewives, teenage boys and girls are also participating in organizing, packing, and distribution of these items.

All of us, who are safe in our homes, without the fear of water entering our streets, it is our responsibility to help our fellow citizens in every way possible whether it's In Kind donations or financial aid and those who cannot afford to give, must try to give 2-4 hours to Alkhidmat or any other organization you feel the best.

Just imagine for a while, if you were in their place and you had lost your business, home, family, land, crops, and livestock. And you were waiting with hope, for someone to give you shelter and food. But Nobody comes, no hope, no light, one by one your hopes get drowned with the flood, and your life seems to end there.

How would YOU feel?

It is a test for us

#Donate before we lose more lives!
