Alkhidmat Volunteer's Role During Floods

                                                   ALKHIDMAT VOLUNTEERS ROLE DURING FLOODS

Pakistan is going through a catastrophe. PDMA stated that over 33 million people have been badly affected by the deadly floods. Over 1.1 million houses have been partially or completely submerged in South Punjab,Sindh and Balochistan, after witnessing 30 years' record rains. Over 80 districts have been declared calamity-hit by the NDMA.

During these critical circumstances, Alkhidmat Foundation is working tirelessly round the clock.Alkhidmat has been playing its dominant role for 32 years without any political purpose and profiting ambitions. Volunteer organization developed by this foundation has been contributing with a mission of helping without wages.

As the situation is alarming in all affected areas of Pakistan, they all are deprived of food, clean water, and facing seasonal diseases. In this terrible situation Alkhidmat is sending relief trucks full of;Dry Rations, Clothes, Clean water and Hygiene kits

Above 50,000 volunteers are engaged day and night, doing ceaseless efforts and performing their job with a spirit of obligation. Alkhidmat was successful in immediately setting up medical camps, temporary learning centers and field hospitals.Well-trained staff and volunteers have also played an important role to make these initiatives successful.

Voice of volunteers:

‘We cannot recover their losses, we cannot heal their wounds, we cannot substitute any single article they have lost, but we can give our shoulders for stabilizing the situation they are going through, at least we can balance their grieve, at least we can produce the reflection of hope on their faces for better tomorrow.’
