Alkhidmat Impact on World 2023

Pakistan is a large country in terms of population and many its people are forced to live in poverty. According to a conservative estimate, more than 95 million people are currently living below the poverty line in the country and this number is increasing every year. Providing the basic amenities of life to such many resource poor people is a big challenge for the government.

To help the government to improve the life of people and provide them necessities of life, Alkhidmat Foundation entered the field of social service in 1990 as a non-profit organization. Today, with its thousands of volunteers spread across the country, Alkhidmat Foundation is engaged in various social services including disaster prevention, health, education, orphan care, clean water, and other social services for destitute countrymen. In the year 2023 Alkhidmat foundation again leaded in serving nation with total expenditure of Rs 21.49 billion rupees which were utilized in following projects. 

Disaster Management

Due to environmental changes Pakistan faces flooding and irregular heavy rainfall after every few years. In 2023, for disaster management 39 response centers were made. More than 8000 shelters and tents were distributed among the affected peoples. More than 30 thousand ration bags were distributed. 0.625421 million people benefited under this program. To achieve these goals 67 thousand volunteers took part in it. The total expense was Rs. 4985 million.

Health services

Alkhidmat foundation has one of biggest and most active heath systems around the country which is serving the nation openheartedly. Alkhidmat foundation has established 52 hospitals, 50 medical centers, 113 lab and collection centers, 310 ambulances, 54 pharmacies, and 1144 medical camps in 2023 The total 10 million people were served by spending PKR 9156 million.

Education program

Alkhidmat foundation provides quality education to needy students in which talented students are given scholarships. One of the highlights of this project is to encourage and enroll street children and give them education. For this Alkhidmat has established 64 child protection centers, 1336 scholarships to talented and eligible students, 86 skill development centers. More than 23 thousand students got benefits from this program. In 2023, The expenditure on education program was Rs. 476 million

Clean water

As water is a basic need of life. Majority of population of Pakistan has no access to clean water Alkhidmat is first one to provide clean water to public in cities as well as far flung villages.By spending PKR 669 million Alkhidmat has made 233 water filtration plants, 14 thousand hand pumps, 2776 dug wells, 172 gravity flow water schemes, 2700+ solar submersible and submersible pumps and tanks by which 5.6 million people  were served.

Orphan care program

Alkhidmat is providing orphan care where they are providing residence, food, health and education services in the best possible way. 27776 children are cared at their home, 137 clusters, 253 learning centers, 1873 children are currently living in Aghosh Alkhidmat. There is 30 Aghosh in which 22 are serving while 8 are under construction. The total expense of this program for the year 2023 was PKR 2328 million.

 Makhawat Program

Alkhidmat foundation is giving interest free loans to unemployed persons by which they can use their talent and skills to earn in respectable way and seek out financial problems. By this program 180 million of loans are given to 2917 persons in 2023.

Community services

Alkhidmat has also a prominent role at different community services at different religious and national events. It includes Ration distribution in Ramzan, giving gifts to needy people on Holi, Diwali and Christmas. Blanket drive in Winters, Masajid construction and renovation, marriage arrangement of needy family and services for prisoners. These programs are running throughout the year. For this Alkhidmat has served 3.9 million people and spent 3699 million rupees.

Palestine Relief

From the day after the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip started on October 17, Alkhidmat Foundation started relief activities for the oppressed Palestinian people and immediately delivered 50 million rupees worth of aid to Gaza through its international partners. These goods consisted of medicine, ready-made food and winter packages. Alkhidmat Foundation is delivering hundreds of tons of relief goods to the besieged Gaza by air and sea.

Alkhidmat Foundation has provided Palestinians studying in Pakistan due to the dubious conditions of Palestine. Students towards academic fees and hostel expenses and have also been issued scholarships.
