Alkhidmat Disaster Management Team Completes Search and Rescue Training

Alkhidmat Disaster Management Team in Karachi successfully concluded a rigorous 7-day Search and Rescue training conducted by TIKA, a Turkish organization known for its humanitarian initiatives.

The training, which took place in Karachi, saw active participation from members of Alkhidmat Karachi and Sindh Boy Scouts Association. Under the guidance of experienced trainers from TIKA, participants were equipped with essential skills and techniques crucial for effective search and rescue operations during natural or man-made disasters.

Throughout the training sessions, emphasis was placed on locating, extricating, and providing medical assistance to individuals in distress, with the overarching goal of saving lives and mitigating the impact of calamities. The comprehensive program not only honed technical abilities but also instilled a sense of preparedness and resilience among the participants.

The closing ceremony, attended by distinguished guests including the Consul General of Turkiye in Karachi, H.E. Jamal Sangu, and Provincial Scout Commissioner Mumtaz Ali Shah, marked the culmination of the training initiative. Officials from TIKA and Alkhidmat were also present to celebrate the successful completion of the program.

In recognition of their dedication and hard work, participants were awarded certificates and shields during the ceremony, symbolizing their commitment to serving humanity and their preparedness to respond effectively in times of crisis.

The collaborative efforts between Alkhidmat, TIKA, and Sindh Boy Scouts Association underscore the importance of partnerships in strengthening disaster response capabilities. By equipping volunteers with essential skills and knowledge, such initiatives contribute significantly to community resilience and disaster preparedness.
