Rescue Operation for Relief of Chitral Landslide
The volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan visited Denin Gole Valley in Chitral following flash floods which caused considerable damages to the neighborhood. The volunteers conducted a survey of the area to assess the losses incurred and begin a relief operation to support the affected families. AKFP has also established a relief camp near Mashilik Koghzi for the people affected by the flood. According the initial estimate, as many as 11 houses, 4 shops, and madrissa have been completely destroyed while partial damages have been caused to 10 houses and two electricity grid stations. At least 16 people have been injured while damaged was to crops, domestic animals, and roads as well. There are also chances of further flooding in the region.
