Reaching out to the families living in the caves
Can you imagine that even in these modern times there are many families who have been carrying out the tradition of living in the caves? Of course, in many parts of the world, life in caves has its existence, but such would be an interesting news in Pakistan.
Recently, the volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation reached out to the families living in the caves of Jamrood, district Khyber of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and delivered the winter package to them. The activity was carried out amid the intense chilling cold.
As many as 75 families are living in these caves and their historical trace-out confirms that they had migrated 10 years ago from the locality known as Teera. It is worth sharing that these families have no access to the basic amenities of life, not to talk of protection from the harshness of the weather.
Alkhidmat volunteers delivered warm clothes, blankets, quilts, beddings, and dry rations to each and every family they discovered.
