Pakistan’s arid climate and rock-strewn deserts may seem an unlikely place to look for a green revolution, but the Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has begun playing its role by launching a reforestation drive. The campaign has been kicked off from Sawabi University and would continue throughout the year.
The task is enormous as cutting down trees is leading to an increase in pollution having harmful effects especially on children and the elderly. We as a nation need to figure out that tree-plantation is critically important and a shield against the harmful effects of climate change. Let’s join hands with Alkhidmat in making Pakistan healthier and greener.
