Installation of Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Plant in Jinnah Hospital, Lahore
To ensure access to purer drinking water to the hospital community, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan under its Clean Water Project installed Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Plant at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar inaugurated the plant. On the occasion, Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, Senior Vice President AKFP, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, Vice-Chancellor University of Health Sciences, MS Jinnah Hospital, Dr. Yahya Sultan, National Director of Alkhidmat Clean Water Program, Syed Rashid Dawood Bukhari, President Alkhidmat Central Punjab, Ikram-ul-Haq Subhani, President AKFP Lahore Engineer Ahmed Hamaad Rasheed, hospital’s staff and Alkhidmat’s volunteers were present.
Alkhidmat RO filtration plant has the capacity of cleaning up 2000 liter water per-hourly speed. More than 7000 people including the hospital’s staff, patients visiting OPD would benefit from the plant on a regular basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar said Alkhidmat Foundation’s plants are nonstop working and serving the nation. He said Alkhidmat is a credible name when it comes to service to humanity. The governor further said that Alkhidmat has proved itself to be result-oriented entity in every sector including COVID-19 pandemic.
Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, Senior Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan said that Alkhidmat in accordance with the need of every area and locality is working on the provision of drinking water across the country. He said around 60 lakh people are benefiting from Alkhidmat’s water project on daily basis.
